Issues using FilmConvert on M1 Macs

Update: July 13, 2021

We’ve released a Universal/M1 beta build of the Final Cut Pro plugin, available from www.filmconvert.com/download.

This build of the plugin is for Final Cut Pro users on FCP 10.5.2 and above.

Beta details: some UI elements are not resizeable, and projects saved with this version of the plugin will not function with earlier versions of FilmConvert Nitrate.

Update: June 26, 2021.

We’ve released a beta v3.07 version of the FilmConvert Nitrate for Final Cut Pro plugin to address an issue with FCP 10.5.3.

Notes:

⁃ UI window is not currently resizable
⁃ Multiple UI windows can be opened, but only the newest window will function – recommend only opening a single instance of the UI controls
⁃ projects saved this 3.07 version of the plugin will not function with earlier versions of FilmConvert Nitrate

We are working with Apple to fix the remaining compatibility issues, and will let you know when we have an updated version available.
