Filmconvert was an important discovery for me.
For a long time I was looking for ways to make digital footage more film-like. I was never completely satisfied but when I discovered some beautiful examples on vimeo that had used filmconvert to grade their footage I bought the software and had a play.
I downloaded my camera profile and with just a few clicks had applied a preset that blew my mind.
I felt like it transported my footage in a time capsule back to 70s (My favourite era for 35mm cinematography) and I was suddenly looking at material full of nostalgia, presence and sense of timeless authenticity.
