By MartinThe goal for this short promotional video for Car Star was to attract skilled workers to the small town of St Stephen New Brunswick. The intent was to capture the "vibe" of this beautiful place and to challenge some of the stereotypes people might have about small town Atlantic Canada. The film is meant to feel more like a travelogue than a corporate video. The aesthetic is simple and "rootsy". The FJ SuperX 400 film stock from FilmConvert leant itself perfectly.

By Rubén CruzThe story was created based upon the idea of CERRUTI 1881's FW18 Unisex Collection, a shared wardrobe where girls borrow outfits from the boys. The key message, unisex, was expressed by a girl's quest for identity and her power to break the loop of time, space, and gender stereotype.

By Reggie Brown"Almost from the time when Polyphemus walked around Etna, or when Ceres taught the Sicilians the cultivation of grain, to this day, Sicily has been the scene of constant wars and invasions, and intrepid resistance. The Sicilians are a mixture of almost all breeds of the south and north; before sicani Aborigines with Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Greeks, and slaves from all over the world, imported to the island because of trafficking or war; then Arabs, Normans, and Italians . The Sicilians, during all of these transformations and modifications, have struggled, and continue to struggle for their freedom ... " Friedrich Engels

By Dan Braga UlvestadIn the minds of many, Colombia is still regarded as a dangerous country. One which only summons up images of Pablo Escobar and the guerrilla fighters. Yet with the peace agreement in 2016, Colombia is finding peace. Filmmakers Simon Straetker and Tobias Hauser set out to discover this different side of Colombia— one that isn’t featured in the bombastic headlines. During their four-week road trip across the nation’s center and coast, they experienced the most friendly people from every stratum of Columbian society. People who welcomed them into their homes, shared their views on the world and gave them a candid glimpse into what the Colombians want their nation to be like. Their short film features those very encounters and places.

By Ismael GonzalezCONATUS is the name of the power that makes us act and strive moves our bodies according to their affinity. It also moves a couple through this short film, back together and apart. Walking the thin line between romance and trespass we have to ask ourselves: Don´t we all call things good, because we secretly want to do them? Go ahead and find the rhythm of your love. And give me the death that I need. Baby. The film explores the topic of the female dead body and how it is shown on screen: exposed, conventionally attractive and sexualized despite its lifelessness. Growing increasingly frustrated with this passive depiction, the director chose to revive the dead woman, so she could speak her mind and regain some agency.

By Gonzalo IglesiasCaptured in the Magic City's Spring Garden neighborhood and starring local scenesters Jessy Nite, Nick Lobo, Magnus Sodamin and the members of the notorious Jacuzzi Boys; Moon stars in the role of his own Cracker Jack alter ego in a trajectory that mirrors Rick's own addiction struggles in a cinema short of the absurd. The earnest and energetic sound of Rick Moon and a rhythm section supplied by Luis Del Valle of Buscabulla becomes the soundtrack for a surprise party, a bust, an oddball trial and strange rituals complete with a house party performance that elevates our anti-hero to states of higher consciousness and well being.
