This video showcases one year around the world, from underwater to 6000m peaks, from active volcanoes to Asian temples, a journey of a lifetime. Anthracite is the most valuable coal. With my camera, I submerged into an old mining tunnel near my hometown of Osnabrück in western Germany. The "Hasestollen" was laid out between 1853 and 1856. The tunnel was excavated and opened to the public in 1997. The point of the film is LIFE. Workers might lost their lives doing their work, but ... there is still life where there is light down there. Nowadays its a forbidden and dangerous place to visit because of the high concentrations of Arsenic, Lead, Cadmium and several other pollutants in the zone. While Chris works a steady job and makes a good salary, Babeli has been a professional beatboxer for over 10 years. Both struggle to make a living while keeping up with their ultimate passion.
