I made posters about ways I hope to personally change and become a better person and then spent two days introducing myself to strangers and inviting them to join the journey for positive change. Turns out beyond the television screen and the violence portrayed on the news, kind beautiful people are easy to find—you just have to step outside and say hello. The majority are living in overpopulated refugee camps in Thailand and an increasing number are scattered throughout the world via refugee settlement programs. Over 2000 Karen refugees have decided to come to Bendigo, Australia. This incredibly unique Asian culture is integrating with Bendigo, a regional Australian town and becoming a celebrated part of the community. 'We Are Karen' tells the story of how and why this migration is happening and succeeding.

In June of 2019, a group of clergy and lay people from Piedmont Community Church in California journeyed to Malawi, Africa to observe supported ministries there. They visited a blind school, feeding program for widows and orphans and a hospital in addition to spending a Sunday with sister church, Kafita. Music native to Malawian spiritual culture provides the soundtrack. The film recognizes that the truest gift comes from those who have little to give.

While visiting my mom in in Albania I saw #takenbyalbania tourism campaign... Great video, but... #Albania has so much to give without references to it's "bad" reputation in action movies. We decided to do our own short "recap" of the visit and call it #givenbyalbania Why given??? Because Albania gave us the opportunity to enjoy it's hospitality, great food, beautiful landscapes, well preserved historical sites, e.t.c... To know what "e.t.c" includes just watch the video!)) Sadly we had only 3 days so we covered only a small part of the country. I hope one day we will come back...
