By andDoomadgee women look beyond themselves, rekindling a sense of purpose by helping Papua New Guinean women in extreme poverty. This documentary was a journey of exploration for the heart of our story, Veronica. This story lives in two locations, Doomadgee, Australia, a remote indigenous community and Mabaduan, Papua New Guinea, an even more remote coastal community. Our team consisted of an international team (director from USA, DP & Cinematographer from Canada), while our subjects were from a remote indigenous community in the far north west Queensland, Australia and our travel took us to an incredibly remote village in Papua New Guinea. Film Convert was our primary tool for grading and added the essential emotional theme.

By France MyezaA short 3-min doco about the gifted custom moped & bike builders Holy Spokes and their wild bunch of motor heads. I challenged myself to create a documentary without quotes, trying to captures the essence of what makes these motor heads tick without words. During the shoot it struck me that their way of life somehow resembles the 4 stages of life in Hinduism, hence the expression Mopedism in the title. Btw: The bylines of the chapter titles are in slangy Swiss German, translating the English main titles with a slight irony - unfortunately this cannot be adequately translated into English without getting lost in translation.

By Timur Tugalev and Sara IzziThree vignettes told through the voices of three disparate characters who all feel a sense of disconnectedness: a lonely woman is hounded by the sound of barking dogs in her neighborhood; a wayward cowboy's regrets are filtered through an imaginative creation story; a young woman hears her mother's advice in every action she takes.

By Matthew MealerSpawned from our time working on a food shoot and noting how phallic and sexual some food seemed when shot in slow mo, the idea took "Food Porn" to its logical conclusion! Shot on a tiny budget with a skeleton crew it was a bit of a labour of love but big thank you to HAM Films for all their assistance and advice on the day, John Luke Hodgkins at We Are Another Artist for his VFX work on the video, Alex for just letting us run wild with his track and, of course, our star who shall remain nameless for fear of being put on a register.
