'Why Can’t You Be Happy' is a teen drama about a girl trying to confronting and reconnecting with her best friend after a prolonged absence. It uses realist techniques to deliver naturalist pacing, featuring heavy dialogue to demonstrate the complexity and miscommunication between teenagers, symbolic of the inevitable conflict and misunderstandings in the transitional coming-of-age period of teenhood.
