Anthracite is the most valuable coal. With my camera, I submerged into an old mining tunnel near my hometown of Osnabrück in western Germany. The "Hasestollen" was laid out between 1853 and 1856. The tunnel was excavated and opened to the public in 1997. The point of the film is LIFE. Workers might lost their lives doing their work, but ... there is still life where there is light down there. With the soundtrack I also made this life audible.
