I remember you, all of you. The picture isn't always of the whole you, but of pieces joined together, a palimpsest of experience. You are complete, but in my own way. The way I see you. I remember how it felt to move my fingers through your hair, and to put my palm to your lean muscles. Each movement gave me something important. And I will always remember how you made me feel. Her last ride. That is what she wanted captured. She asked us to create a film that encapsulated her bond with her best friend. No directing. Just a simple ride. Her last ride.

"A Life on the Line" is an exploratory film; it follows a weekend on a trapline with my father in May, 2014. He explains, how trappers have a deep connection to the wild and how just being in the woods is often the greatest reward for those who continue in this traditional way of life.

I don't wish to glamorize the harvesting of animals, I merely wish to shed some light on a lifestyle that my ancestors thrived on and, that for all intents and purposes created the country of Canada.

abroadlives promotes charities around the world with the aim to promote conscious traveling. We visited Nepal and met amazing people who generously shared their stories with us. We also did some great activities including the world's biggest zip line, whitewater rafting and off-road adventures. Nepal needs more tourist to explore the country as tourism is its biggest provider of jobs and income. We hope that through our documentary, people will see that Nepal is safe to visit after the earthquake, all its beauty is intact and the people are incredible!

Just before leaving to New York my fist video camera Canon C100 mkII arrived. While flying there I found that song from Al Green, which was all the time in my head. When I arrived on airport I saw many people on phones and I decided to make this short.

Spontaneously filmed during family holidays in the South of France. Therefore no chance to make fancy tripod or Glidecam shots... Good thing there was a boat though! I was crazy enough to film EVERYTHING in Magic Lantern RAW on my 5D Mark III, to improve my post workflow and to capture less redundant footage, with only 32GB per day. Had to buy a new hard drive after a few days. DNG sequence calibrated to VisionLOG, exported as ProRes422 HQ, cut in Premiere and finally graded in After Effects with FilmConvert. One in a series of bumpers created for the 2013 Starz Denver Film Festival. Five artists were commissioned to create a work of art highlighting the festival theme of "Paint the Town Red". They were given complete creative control and we filmed the process, end product and interviews. Each bumper is 30 seconds, these are both put together with the slides at the end for easier viewing.

This and the other 4 mini documentaries focus on art and what it means to the artist and to the world. Individually they showcase an amazing artist, as a whole they give an idea of what it means to be an "artist".

Each short will be shown before the movies during the festival run, and the finished artwork will be on display in the Filmmakers Lounge at the Denver Pavilions. If you don't make it to the festival please visit their websites at:

Her grace grazed the ground. She was the woods, and the creek. She lured you with song, and she stole your gaze. The nymph of the woods must always be praised. -- We spent a warm fall day walking and dancing through the woods and creeks of central Wisconsin. The Driftless region gives a lot of opportunities for small discoveries. Each turn reveals a new landscape, formed by spring fed creeks and millennia of transformation. The relic pines stand proud with their roots crowning massive rock faces.
