This is the first in a series for us. A bit of a passion project I guess. Our friend Soren lives out in the French Alps with an amazing story to tell. One day we struck the realisation that we know a bunch of young people who have taken a big leap of faith and are pursuing some really cool dreams. So we decided that we would make a mini series of films that showcase their talents - The People Project. This video was shot pretty much all handheld on a 5D across a 3 day period. Me and Chloe drove down to the alps and hung out with Soren, filming as much as we could. We then left the footage on our hard drives for over a year before coming back to it and starting the edit. We're really proud of the end result!

Wanted to get back to basics. So whilst wandering around Southwark, London I shot some scenes with just my camera and a 50mm Prime. All hand held, no fancy stuff here. There's something about just shooting with no extra gear or stuff to worry about other than exposure and focus. Enjoy.

Survivor is the new video for Mic Righteous's first ever single Survivor, taken from Mic's Debut album Dreamland! Shot in Northampton, England Survivor is an abstract view of how averting from bad decisions in life while battling through daily temptations can ultimately make you a Survivor. When all of us at GiantDwarf first heard the track survivor we new we had a special project and journey ahead of us. With Tones melodic voice and production combined with Mic Righteous incredible lyrics we new we needed to come up with something to compliment what was already an epic project. So after numerous brainstorming sessions and and concepts we were very happy when we reached what we thought was the perfect video idea to go with the survivor track. The artist and his management loved the treatment and off we went to shoot the video. We shot the majority of the video on the Canon 5d mk3 and used a Set of Carl Zeiss Prime Lenses to capture the cinematic look that the artist had reques

Through first-hand testimony The Bliss of Ignorance investigates South Africa's complex relationship with one of the country's most abundant resources: coal.

With experts predicting the creation of a "sick" generation in the Mpumalanga region (which is home to 12 of the world's largest power stations),this documentary looks at the impact of South Africa's energy policy - particularly the support for Eskom's coal-fired power stations - on public health. In February 2015 energy giants Eskom were granted five years grace from complying with atmospheric emission standards, making this film ever more timely and relevant.

Set against the wider climate change debate, The Bliss of Ignorance highlights how the mining and burning of coal affects the environment; polluting air and valuable water resources in a water-scarce country. In 2012, 17,000 people in Carolina, Mpumalanga were left without water because their local supply was polluted by acid mine drainage. <

The rain laid siege to the trees, but only tears wet the faces of the bride and groom. They said their vows to the ferns and the flowers, and the sea kissed their feet for their first dance.

The Exploding Bakery is a wholesale cake bakery, who make traybakes using local and high quality ingredients. Everything is handmade in their open kitchen and cafe in Devon.

Poveglia has had a VERY tumultuous history. Its first residents arrived in 421 AD after trying to escape the barbaric invasions of Venice and around the 9th century, the tiny island became densely populated and grew in importance. It later became the turf on which many wars were fought against the barbarians and while most were won, Poveglia's residents had to be permanently displaced in 1379 by the Venician government so it could fortify and use the island to counter the attacks of the Genoans. When the bubonic plague hit Venice in 1348, Lazzarettos (quarantine centers) were established on many small islands including Poveglia to try to contain the pandemic. The Black Death revisited Venice in 1462, 1485, 1506, 1575-1577, and 1629-1631. The 1629-1631 outbreak ended up being the deadliest with an estimated 80,000 deaths in just seventeen months. The Path to Color is a short documentary series that portrays Mr. He Baijun, the first Chinese Artist to use color in traditional Calligraphy. It shows not only the inspiration behind that, but also the motivations and it`s implications on how art can make a bridge beteween different cultures and also help to preserve traditional crafts.

In this video I spend a Saturday in my yard being active and trying to land a trick that got the best of me the weekend before.

Being inspired by the boats and their markings, the story grew once I met John Booker, a local fisherman. John’s weathered ‘nothing defeats me’ attitude gave me inspiration to create this short film showing the effort it takes him to get the boat to the sea and gives an insight to his long standing connection with the deep blue.

On the edge of Manitoba's Whiteshell Provincial Park lives Walter Keller, a Swiss national who came to Canada in 1967 with the dream of becoming a cowboy. He never became a cowboy, but instead picked up a chainsaw and began a long career in forestry, before finding a hidden talent in wood carving. Walter and his sweetheart, now design and carve commissioned artwork for clients across Canada, the northern USA, and Europe.

I was lucky enough to spend an afternoon in October with Walter as he worked on a number of pieces, and got an insight into his creative process.
