Promo video for two holiday apartments in Mittenwald (Germany). The indoor scenes have been filmed with the Sony a6300 and have been graded with the FilmConvert plugin for Final Cut Pro X. The outdoor scene are from our stock and have been filmed a while ago with a Sony a6000 and a GoPro Hero 4 Silver (drone scene).

Holly & Ali got married in the beautiful Kingston Maurward in Dorchester UK. This is my favourite wedding of the year, the lighting was perfect, the day was perfect and I think I've done a pretty good job with the editing and grade with Film Convert :)

This was a really exciting project to work on. Temple Spa asked me to create a video for the prestigious AA Hospitality Awards 2016 event to showcase the use of their products in luxury hotels. They were after something with a luxurious, aspirational feel, quite different to what we had gone for before, and they were really happy with the result. So was I!

Had one morning free while in Albuquerque, so decided to make a short on all the fun things that Fiesta is about.

I remember my childhood days where there was nothing but a dusty old dirt field and a bunch of balloon fanatics.

This film is the setup to a much bigger multimedia piece which resolves on stage with a song and theatrics. The overall concept being who the world says you are versus what God and the Bible say you are. Lies vs Truth.

FilmConvert allowed me to balance a wide variety of natural light locations while maintaining the same polished look. It's shots like these that make color grading fun!

I was asked in early September to do a same day edit for Jan Acosta and her future husband Jake Zipay. She wanted something very cinematic and movie like. I knew it would've been way harder to do it by myself so I asked my sister and good friend and brother in law to help out. Since focus would be really critical with the moving shots on my ronin and the fact that native glass has autofocus, which is more user friendly for my assistant cameramen; I decided to rent Sony Fe glass to go with the Sony Cameras we were using and forego with my canon glass on this occasion. I do not regret that decision one bit and might just sell my canon glass now. With some careful planning we were able to create something magical for their night. Starting at 830am and shot till 7pm. I started editing around 5pm while my team helped with the remaining shots.
Edited in 3hrs. I used FilmConvert to Color Correct the video to give it a more film like feel while still keeping the natural colors the camer

John Muir - Coming Home is a short film directed by Michael Coleman a Martinez, California native inspired by the writings of naturalist, author and early advocate of wilderness preservation John Muir. Many of the locations featured in the film are authentic to Muir's life including his home in Martinez, California, northeast of Oakland and Muir Woods National Monument just north of San Francisco, California. Muir's original writings and books were shot at his home including the windmill that accompanies the 2,600-acre fruit orchard that surrounded his families property and John Muir's desk in the "Scribble Den".
