This is my first short film. It's called No License. I shot, directed, and edited. My good friend wrote it and we got 8 friends together to act and play various parts. We completed everything in less than 60 hours. It was an ordeal but we made it! I graded it with filmconvert and am now wondering what took me so long.

Laura and Lauran were married under one of the many oak trees at Ojai Valley Inn which is great symbol of lasting marriage. As Laura mentioned the scenic venue provided a lot of great atmosphere without needing much added to it. Her style seemed to favor a timeless approach and she chose a photographer who shoots film which you don't see often these days. I choose to grade the film with a heavy film look to match the feel getting away from the latest push for ultra high sharp looking videos and staying away from effects like slow motion and drones. I prefer to focus on the important moments of the day by being patient and letting the action unfold in front of the camera rather than chasing it or setting up fake scenarios. Natural emotion, solid composition, finding the light and great audio are to me what makes this film stand apart. The music was licensed via the Musicbed and I choose to edit this film in mostly sequential manner rather than jumping around too much so the energy woul

Promotional web video for croatian athlete Marijo Moznik. Another interesting challenge that I had as a director and cinematographer. In mid March 2016 I had to make a short promo video for one of the best gymnast in Croatia, European champion Marijo Možnik. His sponsors Red Bull, Audi and Tag Heuer wanted a dynamic 2.5 minute long film about one day in his life, partially filmed from his point of view. Main target were social networks, media and other promotional channels and main goal was to promote Marijo as an athlete but also to present a little bit of his private life to the audience. After detailed briefing and meetings, shooting started in the end of March. It took two days and 6 locations both in and outdoors. I had a very precise schedule without any deviations, although I filmed 10-12 hours per day. The most demanding spot was Sokol gym hall in center of Zagreb. The building itself is very old with poor natural lighting and to make things even worse, very bad neon lights
By Goran RazicI run a 'technology' Youtube channel mainly used to exercise my cinematography. I'm using this as a means to create a portfolio and to network. This film is a product comparison between two very popular smartphones that are pushing the envelope when it comes to providing the latest specs at a very cheap price. Pushing myself, I shot, edited, scripted, graded the piece myself over the course of a few weeks. Thank you so much for the opportunity :)

By josiah holwickI know not when you first arrived. The facts are clear, there are reports, documentation stating the day, date and even down to the very second of your birth. Yes, all this is very clear. And still with all these facts I am still unclear as to your first arrival.
I shall explain, feebly stumbling through my thoughts, however I shall articulate to the best of my ability at this conundrum.
I woke one morning, no more remarkable then any other morning, but for one little thing. I, for the life of me, cannot remember what life was like before you. Certainly events and places, things one can mark on a calendar or write in a journal But for me, I can’t remember what it felt like when you were not there. Life without you never existed, never was and can never be. You my son, and I who wanted a girl, another daughter to hold and love. Another who is everything I am not. And then they announced it was a boy. My boy. Life without you never existed for you have always been there, n

By Weston ChildersI recorded this one shot video with the Rainbow Girls in November of 2016. We wanted the video to be an intimate performance with an "old photo album" look that the FilmConvert Provia provided so nicely. With its warm, neutral, almost wooden feel brings you into the performers space. I wanted this video to be primarily to be about the performance, music, and art direction. Hopefully leave it as "Raw" as possible. But I love color! So I shot it in a "flat" picture profile Slog3 Sgamut3 knowing I could bake in the color later with some tasty FilmConvert and gain a little extra dynamic range by doing so. I recorded the music on a Zoom H6 using a Sterling Audio ST-69 condenser mic and preamp with no post manipulation, just gain trimmed at the recorder. I hope ya'll enjoy. Keep up the excellent work. Yuki is the Japanese word for snow. Any attempt to portray Rusutsu without mention of the Yuki that falls here would be a very incomplete illustration of Rusutsu, Hokkaido, or even Japan. The snow is why we go to Japan in the first place, thus in the snow is where our video journey to Rusutsu begins. This is why we dedicate the first episode solely to the incredibly deep and unbelievably light snow that buries Rusutsu each winter. This is the first reason we travel to Japan; to find that feeling we are looking for when we chase Japow.
By George KI sat down with Portland based film photographer Ryan Muirhead and we spoke about Depression, Anxiety, Suicide, and his journey into becoming the well known photographer that Ryan is today. Making this documentary style interview film with Ryan was a moving and much needed experience for me. I got into film making to connect with people and share stories to help eachother, along the way I lost my direction and hit a huge emotional challenge, but it was needed, I needed to stop and look at my map. Ryan tells an insightful story about his journey through depression and his daily battle with anxiety in this film, and we learn a lot more about what means to be Ryan Muirhead. Ryan is driven by photography and especially film photography helps him cope through his challenging times. Talking, Hanging, Filming with Ryan and making this film helped me to reconnect with my passions and meanings. My SSD drive failed while finishing this project, so this was actually meant to be the 1st c

By Riccardo FasoliThis is a short film showing the incredible light and landscape of some of the Scottish mountains and lochs. Driving around Scotland in a van is an experience that surpassed expectations, even though they were high to begin with. The reason for the trip was a location recce for an upcoming short film project, it's safe to say we found some stunning locations. We only had 6 days, it just wasn't enough, there is so much to see and I just wanted to stop and take it all in.
