This is a film about an inspirational young man. Johnny Botton has faced challenges that many could not even contemplate. His journey through foster care, living with cerebral palsy and overcoming the prejudices that come with these, have made Johnny a role model and example to many. Johnny used to visit our family on respite for holidays. It was always obvious that his upbeat, compassionate and positive outlook on life was going to guide serve him well. My own children and foster children regard Johnny as a surrogate brother, and it was inevitable that I would do a film about Johnny at some point.

"La Baguette Magique" is a film about the passion and skill that drives a "Catherine", a renaissance woman who walked away from a lucrative job in pharmaceuticals when she realized her comfortable life was unfulfilling. Catherine returned to school to follow her passion and reinvent herself as a baker. She and her family moved from France to the U.S. to open La Baguette Magique, an authentic French bakery in West Chester, PA. People travel from far and wide to taste some of the magic that's baked into every Baguette Catherine makes.

Konori is part of onagawa town that destroyed by Tsunami 2011.3.11 Lion Dance is called "Shishi-furi" and "Shishi-Furi" have big meaning in this town. "Shishi-furi" is done as exorcism and praying home safety, good health, good fishing, in such as New Year. And they praying for victims of tsunami, and reconstruction of the region by "Shishi-furi".

This is a film about stepping away from the 9-5 lifestyle, the benefits of scaring yourself, and about connecting with nature to find meaning in everyday life.

The film follows three mountain bikers riding the legendary Kokopelli Trail in the high mountain desert; a place they’ll find is often unpredictable and unforgiving, but one that reveals lessons for those who explore its lonely landscapes.

Blackmagic 4K camera shoot of Rotterdam harbour, spot the AMIRA shot! Everybody seems to have their favorite spots, mine is the harbour of Rotterdam. When I got the Blackmagic 4K I spend three days in March driving around the harbour to capture some stuff. Visiting rural Ohio during the Fourth of July in 2016, the filmmakers turned an observational lens onto the people of Morrow County. Documenting a 95-year-old native, his multi-generational and multi-racial family and public celebrations of the national holiday, they created a short ethnography in cinéma vérité style.

This short documentary showcases the story and the work behind the Munich (München, Germany) based street artist "Mr. Woodland". He is one of those 90’s kids dazzled by the color blazing on walls all along the train lines, he was lured by the possibilities of this new phenomenon. He picked up his first hardware store can and sprayed in 1993. Starting with letters and classic graffiti traditions, a point came when Mr. Woodland decided that characters and figure based motifs were the path for him.

On our road trip from NYC to LA we drove through Texas and stopped to test our Magic Lantern Firmware for the 5D Mark III at an abandoned rest area. Images were graded and some film stock was used using Film Convert, and excellent product. We decided to use it as our entry for their clip competition. Watch in 1080p!

Raw video on 5d2 is amazing!!! Shooting raw dramatically improves the detail and dynamic range in each shot. Looking at theDNG files on Photoshop will blow your mind. Being able to color correct these clips with so much freedom is so refreshing. The quality of RAW files compared to the super compressed .H264 files is night and day.

Even though the new raw feature in magic lantern is great, there are some things that need to be fixed in order for this feature to be more reliable. Overall it has been an amazing experience shooting RAW and I have faith that Magic Lantern will improve this feature so that it is more usable in real world situations.

This is a tribute to the moments of summer and a glimpse into the community of Boulder, Colorado. Created for the 2014 TEDx Boulder conference by Balcony Nine Media.

Our two-person team shot and edited the piece in ten days. Filmed on the Panasonic GH4 in the Cinelike-D profile. Lenses included the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8, Nikon 50mm f/1.8G, Nikon AIS 28mm f/2.8, & SLR Magic 12mm t/1.6. Metabones Speedbooster featured prominently. Shot back in June 2015, this short video features my father, the owner and operator of HKK Auto Center in Woonsocket, RI, on his daily grind. Saturday is usually the busiest day of the work week for his business, and you see him in the trenches heaving giant tires, changing dirty oil, and even dealing with some technological problems unrelated to cars (Bluetooth is only convenient when it actually works!). This video is being submitted to the FilmConvert Color Up Film Competition in the Documentary category, and was color graded using FilmConvert Pro software via the Premiere plugin. Please enjoy!

While in Morocco for a wedding, we decided to explore the place and take the couple for a session. It turned out to be one of my most enjoyable experiences and this film got us the opportunity to go back to Morocco to work on a tourism film for the city of Casablanca.

I took my original short film that I shot in San Francisco about 1 year and brought it into FilmConvert (filmconvert.com) for a re-grade. I really love the way this software makes digitally shot footage looks. It's pretty much the most accurate way to emulate 35mm or 16mm filmstock. As far as cameras go I shot this on the Canon 60d (some shots on the 5D Mark II) and 24-105mmL F4 IS lens with a Zacuto Z-Finder, and no tripod. I really like this version more than the original.

I suggest you download the original film to fully appreciate the emulsion and grain as Vimeo's compression ruins a lot of the magic!
