By Philipp Sigmund / Philipp von JagowIn April of 2016 Jen O'Neill climbed to Everest Base Camp to raise money for her 2 year old disabled nephew Nathaniel. He has a rare genetic condition called tetrasomy 18p. Nathaniel cannot walk, speak, or eat solid food because his muscles have not developed normally and he requires 24/7 care. Much of his condition is still undiscovered and requires further research. CLIMB FOR A CAUSE was a fundraiser to help Nathaniel and other children with his condition and their families access the proper treatment. This short film documents Jen's climb to over 18,000 feet.

By Mr Dominick SoarJohn Deere is helping farmers adapt with precision technology that connects people, equipment and technology to make a good farm even better. To let the world know about, we went to Clear Meadow Farm in White Hall, Maryland and documented one family's multi-generational story. The key was to make the story feel authentic, so other farmers would connect emotionally. The Rose family let us into their homes and their lives for three days while we captured their spirit. By JOEY WHIPP"From his earliest years as an artist, Hartman has been drawn to the (extremely complicated, extremely difficult) discipline of portraiture, and it is this fascination that has brought him, almost inevitably, to the subject of writers. Hartman is a reader, for one thing. But, for another, writers are cut from the same cloth as Hartman in many ways. They are observant. They are more comfortable with individuals than they are with generalizations. They do not imagine that time is a simple sequence. And they see landscapes – whether the Miramachi River in New Brunswick or MacLaughlin Point in British Columbia – as places where stories are kept. The same can be said of a face. It’s a history. It’s a revelation. It’s a map." – David Macfarlane Graded with FilmConvert

Jon and James were paired up in March of 2017. At the time they were living on opposite sides of the country. James had never ridden a tandem bicycle and Jon had a bowl style skateboard helmet and his first pair of clip-less cycling shoes, which he was keen to try out for race day. After a couple of wobbly starts and one low speed crash, Jon and James stormed onto their first podium, taking a bronze medal and their first steps toward the 2020 Paralympic Games. This film was created to share their story and raise funds to keep the momentum going.

This is a small snippet of a later to be released 19 minute Documentary that wasn't meant to be released to the public. It was just for everyone involved in the effort. In fact, I was a little embarrassed about my lack of contribution to the Missionary effort. All I was doing was catching the wonderful work that these hard working doctors and nurses were doing. These guys literally flew over to Kenya on there own pocket, offered their professional services for free and even donated medical supplies,
When one of the Doctors saw me editing the short clip that represented our time over there, he almost broke down with emotion. He told me that he's been with the mission for 4 yrs now but his wife, his family, his friends have only seen photos. They've never had the opportunity to really feel what it was like down on the ground. And with that, I finally felt just how worthwhile my contribution really was.
For the last 4 yrs, every year, Alabaster has been going back to offer medical aid to a small rural community Endonyolasho, in Kenya a couple of miles off the Tanzanian border.
This year they launched a First Aid Clinic and celebrated the bright future of their community. The clinic will assist and help the lives of 7,000 Maasai men, women and children in Endonyolasho which hasn’t had rain for more than 3 years now. Without the clinic, people in this community must walk seven hours to find care at the nearest dispensary, or a further 15 hours to the nearest hospital.
With their collaborative efforts, there is finally a chance that the area may construct a Well, which will restore life to this beautifully stunning but harsh arid environment to which the people of Endonyolasho live.
When editing, the colors simply didn't quite recreate what it felt like to actually be there in that harsh red environment. So you can Imagine how ecstatic I was when Film Convert brought the colors back to life. Thi
So in August of 2015, I was asked to join one of my closest friends on a medical aid mission to Endonyolasho, Kenya. She asked me because; for the last 4 yrs they haven't had any luck with video documentation. I'm basically not much more than actor who loves the power of film and the stories it has to tell. So I approached the project as little more than a one man video production team.

By Janis KlinkenbergIn February 2014, a group of amputee veterans set forth on a monumental goal for recovery, to climb the world’s tallest free-standing mountain: Mt. Kilimanjaro (19,341 ft). Consisting of six amputees and five wingman climbers, the Kilimanjaro Warriors hiked the mountain for eight days overcoming insurmountable obstacles and new challenges with each passing mile; trusting that determination, heart and undeniable grit can triumph over disability.

This is the first of two segments that I made for the wonderful One Day In Denver filmmaking project.
The second piece will focus on the journey of the paper boats from Cherry Creek Reservoir, moving North along Cherry Creek, and into the city, culminating in their arrival at Confluence Park in Denver, where Cherry Creek meets the Platte River, and begins it's long trip east to the Mississippi, and eventually the Atlantic Ocean.

Thank you as well to Travis Thompson from the Denver Water Department, who's knowledge and experience will be featured in the 2nd segm
