By Matteo BavaFor this short film "on my knees, like an orphan," I shot with the Sony Fs5 and 6500 and two different iPhones. In post, I used several stocks FilmConvert stocks to create looks with meaning. The stories tied together with "Life, Life" -- a song from Ryuichi Sakamoto's new record, music which he has shared as part of the |async International Short Film Contest. Because I live in a city, I fight for nature. And every time I am in nature, I do feel the awe. So that is why I named this short film from final lines of the poem: "I dedicate myself, on my knees, like an orphan, Alone - among mirrors - fenced in by reflections: Cities and seas, iridescent, intensified. A mother in tears takes a child on her lap." David Sylvain's resonant voice gives emotional force to these words were written by Aseny Tarkovsky, the poet and father of Andrei Tarkovsky, the filmmaker to whom the Ryuichi Sakamoto | async - International short film competition project is dedicated. By Hamad Saghran'Working the Sea' follows the fortunes of the Bagwells, a Sidmouth fishing family from the forties when young Stan was fishing with his father in a borrowed boat, to the nineties when they have two fish shops, two trawlers fishing out of Brixham, and three boats working off the beach at Sidmouth. Then, tragedy strikes and the women of the family pick up the pieces. The film also weaves the contemporary users of the coast, from the sailing club to the lifeboat, into the narrative. So this is ultimately a film about community spirit and how a mutual love of and respect for the sea draws people together. 'This stunning film: fascinating and inspiring, funny and humbling is a powerful reminder how lucky we are on the coast'. By IZ DarsonThis is the first in a series for us. A bit of a passion project I guess. Our friend Soren lives out in the French Alps with an amazing story to tell. One day we struck the realisation that we know a bunch of young people who have taken a big leap of faith and are pursuing some really cool dreams. So we decided that we would make a mini series of films that showcase their talents - The People Project. This video was shot pretty much all handheld on a 5D across a 3 day period. Me and Chloe drove down to the alps and hung out with Soren, filming as much as we could. We then left the footage on our hard drives for over a year before coming back to it and starting the edit. We're really proud of the end result!

By Andrew Stain'Faces of Fall' is a small project I did while working on my aerial cinematography skills. I am a filmmaker based in Lübeck getting more and more into aerial cinematography and photography. I am the kind of guy who needs projects like these and the burning desire that comes with them to get out and realise my ideas instead of just practicing movements over and over again. Getting a cinematic shot with a drone takes a quite some practice - not just the seamless flying part but also finding a good and interesting framing while having only 20 minutes of battery-time up in the air. I came up with the subject of fall and the roughness and beauty that comes with it all showcasing nature around Lübeck, Germany. Unfortunately I did not have the time to cover all facets (like storm and rain - but that would not have been able with the Phantom 4 anyway) - but I think I got lucky with the beautiful ones. Filmconvert helped me a lot to work out those beautiful colors of fall and to transfer the sh
