Since getting this baby 3 months ago I keep it in a small backpack I try to take with me when I’m riding my bike or traveling the world.
Love the full frame sensor, the retro look, the great viewfinder (let’s you pretend you are shooting stills) S-log and the crazy ISO numbers you can now dare to use.
I shot mostly handheld but used a rhino slider on few shots.

Surf culture in Slovenia is still young and naive, but on the other hand true and hardcore as it gets. As inlanders, growing up close to the high mountains, we put our hearts and souls (and all the spare money) into getting our feet on some fiberglass... never to far, never to cold and never to crappy for a Slovenian waveglider... Klemen Surk is one of the pioneers of Slovenian surf scene. This is a follow up post to show how our Moonlight video looked like after it had been color graded. There were a handful of requests form viewers asking us to upload a graded version. We graded it with FilmConvert in Adobe Premiere Pro using the Sony A7s camera pack, Slog2 - S Gamut Profile, and the FJ 8553 ET FilmConvert Stock.

It was amazing to see how much color the A7s was able to bring out once we applied the Slog2 - S Gamut Profile to the clips. We desaturated the final grade to keep the moonlight feel.

I wanted to tool around with a Manfrotto Sympla shoulder rig and a Black Magic Cinema camera. So like all my test shoots, I employed my dog. We walked around Old Town Tustin, CA and had a grand old time. Graded with Film Convert.

The Path to Color is a short documentary series that portrays Mr. He Baijun, the first Chinese Artist to use color in traditional Calligraphy. It shows not only the inspiration behind that, but also the motivations and it`s implications on how art can make a bridge beteween different cultures and also help to preserve traditional crafts.

'NOVEMBER' was shot on the mountains of Oiti and Parnassos in Greece. It was all shot on a Canon 7D with the RAW Video hack from Magic Lantern. Lens used: Zeiss C/Y 50mm 1.7, Zeiss 20mm M42 and some shots with a Canon 70-200 2.8. Most shots where shot using a small Glidecam. Edited in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects and Color corrected with DaVinci Resolve, also used Film Convert at the end for the film emulation.
