In “Isolated Crows of Solitude”, Tehran-based director Sahar Soleimani turns such daily personal reporting into a means of surveillance, of repression. People are forced to keep logs of their days. Having their own ideas, discovering their own potential, maturing into individual personalities – these are utopian aims in this dystopian world. Those who rebel against the rules of the totalitarian system are “cured” with a mask. The power of dictatorship? Isolation. Alienation. Solitude. Reza is one of them. And one of them.

From birth, a female must maintain a certain image. She must live up to expectations. She is constantly fed cultural lies. This story is snapshot of a girl's life from the girl's point of view . This film is the setup to a much bigger multimedia piece which resolves on stage with a song and theatrics. The overall concept being who the world says you are versus what God and the Bible say you are. Lies vs Truth.

John Muir - Coming Home is a short film directed by Michael Coleman a Martinez, California native inspired by the writings of naturalist, author and early advocate of wilderness preservation John Muir. Many of the locations featured in the film are authentic to Muir's life including his home in Martinez, California, northeast of Oakland and Muir Woods National Monument just north of San Francisco, California. Muir's original writings and books were shot at his home including the windmill that accompanies the 2,600-acre fruit orchard that surrounded his families property and John Muir's desk in the "Scribble Den". Muir was perhaps this country's most famous and influential naturalist. If it weren't for John Muir and his writings, we probably would not have Yosemite National Park as we know it today. I used Film Convert to grade this project on Krishna Malla a UK based street artist I had the pleasure of getting to know throughout 2013. He's produced work for some major festivals and various big name clients as well as being an active part of the street art community. I took my camera along to a couple of his gigs to try to capture his style and provide a glimpse into how these amazing works of art are created.
