A music video I shot for the fantastic italian swing band "Musica da Ripostiglio" ("Closet Music", because, as they say 'we feel "Chamber Music" would be excessive'). It starts with a little short, then become a surreal music video full of great actors: Paolo Sassanelli, Ernesto Lama, Giovanni Esposito, Marit Nissen, Gaia Bassi, Sergio Del Prete, Ivano Schiavi, Francesco Rivieccio, Germano Ciaravola, La Tarantina... Shot run and gun in 5 hours in Naples.

By Rodrigo RiedelMy Brothers' Blood is a project aimed at championing manhood through stories, photos and film. The goal is to shine a new light on what it takes to be a man through individual stories; to empower men through shared communication; and to support a healthy, balanced idea of manhood and masculinity through community. This is the first in many video interviews to come. You can find out more about the project at mybrothersblood.com. There you can find photo interviews as well as contact information if you're interested in being a part of the project.
By Everett FitchMy grand-aunt Mimi asked if I could help her share the story of her life. Something like this is impossible to give justice in an 8 minute piece, but all I can hope is that the enormous amount of life that she had in her soul is apparent to all of those who watch this. I was fortunate to be able to finish the film and travel back to Washington in early July to show the film to Mimi at her beloved cabin on Whidbey Island. Unfortunately, a little over a month later Mimi had a sudden illness followed by a stroke with several complications, she passed away on September 26th, 2016. In this moment, Mimi would prefer us celebrate her life, rather than be saddened by her death. So, here's to Mimi! I hope this film encourages those who see it to take a moment and capture a story from one of their elders on whatever media is available. The worth of these stories is invaluable and life can take sudden, unexpected turns. Love you Mimi.

You can imagine how he has been feeling, always having to buy new remotes, so he made her swear that, specially today, she would try really hard to keep everything in sight. And she actually did it! By Danny FengLaura and Lauran were married under one of the many oak trees at Ojai Valley Inn which is great symbol of lasting marriage. As Laura mentioned the scenic venue provided a lot of great atmosphere without needing much added to it. Her style seemed to favor a timeless approach and she chose a photographer who shoots film which you don't see often these days. I choose to grade the film with a heavy film look to match the feel getting away from the latest push for ultra high sharp looking videos and staying away from effects like slow motion and drones. I prefer to focus on the important moments of the day by being patient and letting the action unfold in front of the camera rather than chasing it or setting up fake scenarios. Natural emotion, solid composition, finding the light and great audio are to me what makes this film stand apart. The music was licensed via the Musicbed and I choose to edit this film in mostly sequential manner rather than jumping around too much so the energy woul

By Will BoyPromotional web video for croatian athlete Marijo Moznik. Another interesting challenge that I had as a director and cinematographer. In mid March 2016 I had to make a short promo video for one of the best gymnast in Croatia, European champion Marijo Možnik. His sponsors Red Bull, Audi and Tag Heuer wanted a dynamic 2.5 minute long film about one day in his life, partially filmed from his point of view. Main target were social networks, media and other promotional channels and main goal was to promote Marijo as an athlete but also to present a little bit of his private life to the audience. After detailed briefing and meetings, shooting started in the end of March. It took two days and 6 locations both in and outdoors. I had a very precise schedule without any deviations, although I filmed 10-12 hours per day. The most demanding spot was Sokol gym hall in center of Zagreb. The building itself is very old with poor natural lighting and to make things even worse, very bad neon lights
By Goran RazicI run a 'technology' Youtube channel mainly used to exercise my cinematography. I'm using this as a means to create a portfolio and to network. This film is a product comparison between two very popular smartphones that are pushing the envelope when it comes to providing the latest specs at a very cheap price. Pushing myself, I shot, edited, scripted, graded the piece myself over the course of a few weeks. Thank you so much for the opportunity :)

By SergeOver the last few months I've been caught between moments of great joy and moments of deep frustration. Being a creative and trying to find your way in this world has never been easy, and lately, it seems like there are a million ways to succeed or fail. At a time when I needed it most, a very wise friend shared this quote with me from Marianne Williamson: "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light

By Nikos PapadopoulosPARIS.MACHINE.LOVE is a tiny short film on a moment of love and compassion between (wo)man and machine, filmed in Paris. The short film is about artificial intelligence and the first ATM/cash machine to gain consciousness - as machines become ever more evolved and connected to the world. The idea being it is that they are coded by men, in a language which is different from ours but would still allow for (human) error - or bugs. As opposed to the traditional view that intelligent machines would be 100% rational entities, this film takes into account human flaws as trait or characters that would be passed on to them. And so therefore the cash machine in the film assumes human-like behaviour and is prone to the same flaws and weaknesses. But the core message is that we don't know what machines will do in the future when they surpass our capabilities - and how we interact with them is likely to influence this as well. If we treat them badly, they might reciprocate. As per

By Anna-Mari NousiainenPOLISH is a crazy short movie about two Chinese brothers in New York from a triad family. The oldest brother is the boss, and owns all the nail salons in New York... Except one. The youngest, however, is tired of this life, and wants to achieve his dream : to become the best nail artist in the world. He therefore tries to get hired... in the last salon his family doesn't control. Graded completely with FilmConvert and the awesome FJ 8543 VD, the colors are super vivid to get a very "pop" feeling, yet the skin colors (and they are varied) all look amazing and natural. Using film emulation really allowed me to have a saturated, yet balanced picture. Sorry the movie is so long, I hope the first 5 minutes will be enough to give you an idea of the look of the movie.
