In April of 2016 Jen O'Neill climbed to Everest Base Camp to raise money for her 2 year old disabled nephew Nathaniel. He has a rare genetic condition called tetrasomy 18p. Nathaniel cannot walk, speak, or eat solid food because his muscles have not developed normally and he requires 24/7 care. Much of his condition is still undiscovered and requires further research. CLIMB FOR A CAUSE was a fundraiser to help Nathaniel and other children with his condition and their families access the proper treatment. This short film documents Jen's climb to over 18,000 feet.

Three surfers from Kaua`i set out to bring clean water to the people of Indonesia while on a surf trip. After arriving in Indo they learn it's much more difficult to make a difference then they initially thought. Through equal parts persistence and luck they are able to join a student project from Australia who've developed a teaching tool that could save hundreds of lives. The team, with the help of Surfaid Sumba test the project and discovers the key to creating lasting sustainable change. In the end they learn how a small group of people can contribute and make a big improvement in a worldwide problem.

Product video we did for an online company that teaches maths to children with games. We tried to maintain the image as clean as possible while giving an organic look and nice colors. We also tried to be very careful with skin tones. Every screen was replaced in After Effects with the problems and games that the client wanted to appear.

PARIS.MACHINE.LOVE is a tiny short film on a moment of love and compassion between (wo)man and machine, filmed in Paris. The short film is about artificial intelligence and the first ATM/cash machine to gain consciousness - as machines become ever more evolved and connected to the world. The idea being it is that they are coded by men, in a language which is different from ours but would still allow for (human) error - or bugs. As opposed to the traditional view that intelligent machines would be 100% rational entities, this film takes into account human flaws as trait or characters that would be passed on to them. And so therefore the cash machine in the film assumes human-like behaviour and is prone to the same flaws and weaknesses. But the core message is that we don't know what machines will do in the future when they surpass our capabilities - and how we interact with them is likely to influence this as well. Filmed in London, UK with the NHS staff (National Health Service) at King's College Hospital. Strong is a song about Rony's experience of working in hospitals, where the staff are often pushed to the edge, working long shifts and dealing with matters of life and death... which sometimes lead people to depression when the pressure is just too much. Rony was once told by a fellow doctor to just "man up" and leave his feelings aside. He thought otherwise and wrote this song instead, a powerful folk ballad about manning up to your emotions, accepting and facing them. That's what being strong should be about.

After 5 years since their Fat Beats full length debut, Eternia & MoSS return with "Day & Night". Featured on MoSS's album "Marching to the Sound of My Own Drum", MoSS provides a hypnotizing and haunting sonic backdrop as Eternia struggles between spirit and flesh in her signature soul-excavating style. "Day & Night" explores the war going on inside every person, for "what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do" (St. Paul). The outcome of the battle is left unknown, as Eternia's chorus prays, "Don't let the sun set on me..." Director Ian Johnson cinematically explores themes of darkness vs. light, lust, and the multiplicity of one being. The visuals, as hypnotizing as MoSS's production, also pays homage to MoSS's psychedelic classic rock musicality in the colouring, editing, and aesthetic styling.

abroadlives promotes charities around the world with the aim to promote conscious traveling. We visited Nepal and met amazing people who generously shared their stories with us. We also did some great activities including the world's biggest zip line, whitewater rafting and off-road adventures. Nepal needs more tourist to explore the country as tourism is its biggest provider of jobs and income. We hope that through our documentary, people will see that Nepal is safe to visit after the earthquake, all its beauty is intact and the people are incredible!

Laura and Lauran were married under one of the many oak trees at Ojai Valley Inn which is great symbol of lasting marriage. As Laura mentioned the scenic venue provided a lot of great atmosphere without needing much added to it. Her style seemed to favor a timeless approach and she chose a photographer who shoots film which you don't see often these days. I choose to grade the film with a heavy film look to match the feel getting away from the latest push for ultra high sharp looking videos and staying away from effects like slow motion and drones. I prefer to focus on the important moments of the day by being patient and letting the action unfold in front of the camera rather than chasing it or setting up fake scenarios. Natural emotion, solid composition, finding the light and great audio are to me what makes this film stand apart.
