"3982" was born from IBCO and Ayoub Qanir with the goal of creating a piece of clothing with an aesthetic feature inspired by the idea of a future encompassing and crisscrossing the arts, science and technology; favoring reflection on the system and its context.
The video developed by Codea Studio with the collaboration of IAAC and Bloom has incorporated the techniques used in the creation of clothing, such as laser cut or the 3d dress patterns, in its visual content. The impulse and the technique used in this visual content consists of an iron arm attached to the camera which travels around "3982"
From material and abstraction to concreteness and futurism, a revelation with glimpses of a possible crossing between technology and humanity.

SYNOPSIS

Sick of the small town life in Los Baños, California, Miles left immediately after high school. Nine years later he returns to attend his father’s funeral and finds the family farm in shambles, his childhood friend trapped in an abusive relationship and the memory of his father haunting him. Feeling a sense of responsibility for abandoning his past Miles must get over his animosity towards the town if he wants to make a difference. Meanwhile his corporate job depends on his immediate return to Seattle.

In the year 2084, society is slowly being crushed into conformity by an all-powerful computer. But one man is surprisingly impervious to the malevolent machine’s relentless conditioning. How is this possible? Perhaps, in this dystopian future, Ignorance really is Strength.

Set in the bleak future, in a time when the California drought has gotten worse than ever, a sudden raging tornado has sent most people fleeing to relocation communities in the mid-west. This story follows a grandfather desperate to help his granddaughter stay alive as she suffers from extreme sickness and fatigue due to the arid conditions. In a small demolished town, he makes a deal to keep her alive.

This short documentary showcases the story and the work behind the Munich (München, Germany) based street artist "Mr. Woodland". He is one of those 90’s kids dazzled by the color blazing on walls all along the train lines, he was lured by the possibilities of this new phenomenon. He picked up his first hardware store can and sprayed in 1993. Starting with letters and classic graffiti traditions, a point came when Mr. Woodland decided that characters and figure based motifs were the path for him.

Shot back in June 2015, this short video features my father, the owner and operator of HKK Auto Center in Woonsocket, RI, on his daily grind. Saturday is usually the busiest day of the work week for his business, and you see him in the trenches heaving giant tires, changing dirty oil, and even dealing with some technological problems unrelated to cars (Bluetooth is only convenient when it actually works!). This video is being submitted to the FilmConvert Color Up Film Competition in the Documentary category, and was color graded using FilmConvert Pro software via the Premiere plugin. Please enjoy!

I took my original short film that I shot in San Francisco about 1 year and brought it into FilmConvert (filmconvert.com) for a re-grade. I really love the way this software makes digitally shot footage looks. It's pretty much the most accurate way to emulate 35mm or 16mm filmstock. As far as cameras go I shot this on the Canon 60d (some shots on the 5D Mark II) and 24-105mmL F4 IS lens with a Zacuto Z-Finder, and no tripod. I really like this version more than the original.

I suggest you download the original film to fully appreciate the emulsion and grain as Vimeo's compression ruins a lot of the magic!
