Doomadgee women look beyond themselves, rekindling a sense of purpose by helping Papua New Guinean women in extreme poverty. This documentary was a journey of exploration for the heart of our story, Veronica. This story lives in two locations, Doomadgee, Australia, a remote indigenous community and Mabaduan, Papua New Guinea, an even more remote coastal community. Our team consisted of an international team (director from USA, DP & Cinematographer from Canada), while our subjects were from a remote indigenous community in the far north west Queensland, Australia and our travel took us to an incredibly remote village in Papua New Guinea. Film Convert was our primary tool for grading and added the essential emotional theme.

A Word of Warning is an experimental plea for artists to leave what's comfortable and known in order to go faster, to take risks, to speak in our native tongues... and to step out as creatives to find our tribe. We’re not in the business of trying to convince others to take risks and to trust us as artists. We’re out to build relationships with the few who already do.

A gorgeous prairie wedding featuring the beautiful bride Kortni and her handsome groom Aaron. From the charming prairie scenery in this wedding film you can see why those of us who call Alberta home are lucky indeed.

The film was shot primarily on location just outside of Edmonton, Alberta at the bride's parent's farmhouse and in town at Vegreville, AB with some b-roll shots taken from the journey in between cities.

What struck me about this couple was their easy-going way of being together and the honest way they communicate with people. A real pleasure to film and be around for the day.

Shot on Panasonic GH4 and G6 cameras and a variety of fast Panasonic zooms and Pentax K mount prime lenses.

abroadlives promotes charities around the world with the aim to promote conscious traveling. We visited Nepal and met amazing people who generously shared their stories with us. We also did some great activities including the world's biggest zip line, whitewater rafting and off-road adventures. Nepal needs more tourist to explore the country as tourism is its biggest provider of jobs and income. We hope that through our documentary, people will see that Nepal is safe to visit after the earthquake, all its beauty is intact and the people are incredible!

The music video for “Entwined” is a collaboration with Austrian filmmaker Max Rino, and it features a stunning Tim Burton-like world. “We didn`t want to create an everyday music video with continuous lip-sync and long performance parts,” said Clemens Engert of Alien Hand Syndrome, “we were aiming for something much more cinematic. So we had this idea of going into the Vienna Woods and playing with all those fascinating little elements we found there and incorporate them into the clip. It’s all about the combination of the musical and visual atmosphere and building a unified whole.”

ALMA year 2014, duration: 6min 18sec. Carolina Morais Fonseca, a portuguese dancer and choreographer. Born in 1981, she travels all around the world teaching and learning Gypsy dances. She started her research of Romany dances with Myriam Szabo and later complemented her training with Ukrainian Petia Lourtchenko, particularly in Russian and Central European Romany dances. She has also studied in India, Transylvania, Budapest and Istanbul. She has performed as a dancer with Fanfare Ciocarlia, Taraf de Haidouks and Roby Lakatos. She is a member of Danza Duende® in Brussels. In this video, Carolina present us her new project / show named ALMA (which means soul). This is not the final version. Three surfers from Kaua`i set out to bring clean water to the people of Indonesia while on a surf trip. After arriving in Indo they learn it's much more difficult to make a difference then they initially thought. Through equal parts persistence and luck they are able to join a student project from Australia who've developed a teaching tool that could save hundreds of lives. The team, with the help of Surfaid Sumba test the project and discovers the key to creating lasting sustainable change. In the end they learn how a small group of people can contribute and make a big improvement in a worldwide problem.

This video was shot in three hours in southern Brazil. And released in two days especially for the competition FilmConvert. The narration and sound design and all the shots were made by me. Colored entirely with FilmConvert. Shot with Blackmagic Pocket Cinema in Prores 422

Angelo Ambrosia - Glass Artist

One in a series of bumpers created for the 2013 Starz Denver Film Festival. Five artists were commissioned to create a work of art highlighting the festival theme of "Paint the Town Red". They were given complete creative control and we filmed the process, end product and interviews. Each bumper is 30 seconds, these are both put together with the slides at the end for easier viewing.

This and the other 4 mini documentaries focus on art and what it means to the artist and to the world. Individually they showcase an amazing artist, as a whole they give an idea of what it means to be an "artist".

Each short will be shown before the movies during the festival run, and the finished artwork will be on display in the Filmmakers Lounge at the Denver Pavilions. If you don't make it to the festival please visit their websites at:

Anthony & Emma wanted a simple film to reflect the story of their day. Luckily they'd planned great moments to capture from start to finish although their bridesmaid nearly stole the entire show! It was cloudy to start with and cloudy by the end but in the middle were a few hours of perfect sunshine for the leafy venue in Somerset, England. Filmed on a self designed combined single axis gimble/shoulder rig for maximum flexibility.
