By Dennis LubbersKeeping a diary. It’s actually a nice thing to do. Something you undertake for yourself. An act of both letting go and preserving. In “Isolated Crows of Solitude”, Tehran-based director Sahar Soleimani turns such daily personal reporting into a means of surveillance, of repression. People are forced to keep logs of their days. Having their own ideas, discovering their own potential, maturing into individual personalities – these are utopian aims in this dystopian world. Those who rebel against the rules of the totalitarian system are “cured” with a mask. The power of dictatorship? Isolation. Alienation. Solitude. Reza is one of them. And one of them.

By Arbel RomIn April we were lucky enough to visit Turkey to work on a couple of documentaries. Whilst we did not have a lot of free time, we managed to spend a day in Istanbul and explore this beautiful and culture-rich city and tried to make the most out of it. This a short portrait made of scenes and places we saw during that day.
By FLORENT PIOVESANA brief history of punk music in Turkey in 90's and about todays society.
By Ali KanibelliHere's a quick, low rez clip from our upcoming travel series WEWANNAGO. Episode 1 has us travelling through Turkey with stops in Istanbul, Cappadocia and Pamukkale. This short clip shows my wife Kseniya, her brother Kirill and myself (camera guy) taking our first steps into the historic site of Aya Sofya (Sancta Sophia). I've stripped out most of the voice overs and typographic/3D overlays— Saving the best for last :) So far, this episode is sitting around 9 minutes and that's just enough to show off the best of what Istanbul has to offer.
We're working hard to get the first 4 episodes live this summer and we appreciate the support and motivation.

By Ramiro del CarpioHow Jake and Kyla found each other is quite ironic! They met on the other side of the world on a tour, while they only lived 20 minutes drive from one another, in Melbourne! As their Maid of Honour describes really well, "Kyla pursued her dream of working and living in France... after 6 months, Jake made a trip to see her and proposed with fairly lights in the continent where it all began."
It was a delight to capture Jake & Kyla's special day in Melbourne, especially the live entertainment, and the Portuguese Dancing.

The way FilmConvert is able to take the digital edge off our other cameras and help them blend with the film is damn lovely.
