My Father's Shadow is a short film by Will Osigian. This film finished shooting shortly before will stepped away from his video production company, Trust Fall Productions. Plot: an estranged son's struggle with his return home to his beaten and broken family. "This film was written for my Nephew, he was my best friend growing up. When he turned thirteen he started his life as both an addict and a raging alcoholic. His alcoholism really took the forefront of his life and has heavily impacted everyone that cares about him. Whenever he and I talk, he's almost always brought to tears because he sees himself as a monsters." - Will
By WilliamMeet Gregory and Aleana, Mr. and Mrs. Conroy, and this is their gorgeous wedding. I'm grateful that they trusted my to shoot their wedding video and I must say; I'm very happy with how it turned out! It was a beautiful moment to capture and I learned a LOT about shooting weddings. One of those things? It takes a LOT of time, both on the shooting day and 20 some-odd hours in the cutting room ediiting away. I'm glad I did it, because I'm very proud of what came out of it!
By David ZhouI spent a hot, bug-filled, summer afternoon filming at my home in Wisconsin. Why? Because my (wonderful) mother is an ecologist and has a beautiful prairie. Some of this footage will be used for a film I am (hopefully) putting together for my mom's business. During the time of filming gnats were out in full force. They kept flying around and landing on my lenses, buzzing next to the microphone (which you can hear), and generally annoying the f*** out of me.
This was shot on a Canon 600d using neutral picture profile. Canon Lenses: 50mm f/1.8, 16-35mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8. Aerial video shot using GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition recording in ProTune at 60fps (Narrow FOV)

By Daniel GarciaHey! We just wrapped up this badass Indian wedding here in Santa Monica and the way FilmConvert is able to bring all these wonderful colors to life is magic! It truly helps me as an amateur colorist blend everything together and feel cohesive. I almost always use it as a final pass. The film is actually still a rough cut and it will have titles, a final pass for color, and volume adjustments. Other than that, enjoy a truly special couple and all the vibrant scenery and characters that come with the Santa Monica boardwalk. Cheers!

Within the week of posting, my NYC test run of the new Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera went north of 3k playbacks, seeming sensible now to complement with a split-screen comparison of the untouched footage straight from the camera, alongside that finished product after color correction/grading. I have no delusions of being a studio auteur, who could justify a braggart director's commentary, but after thinking about the option to write a long, wordy blog post, I figured it's easier and better all-around just to talk over my footage. It's a visual medium anyway, and I'm sort of surprised there aren't more of these. Would love to see yours, too.
The video streams by default in full 1080p high definition, so if you get jitters, click the HD icon in-frame to reduce your playback resolution. For reference, here's the original seven-minute film: http://vimeo.com/hpmoon/nyc. As I say at the end of this commentary, please add your comments below, and please share your work
[UPDATE: Also check out the split-screen "color commentary" on this at http://vimeo.com/hpmoon/bmpc.]
On August 29, there were just a handful of Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras (BMPCs) in circulation, but I managed to get one. That weekend, I took a visit to New York City as my occasion to break it in. Manhattan has been a limitless source of inspiration for people far more talented than me, but the Blackmagic technology, coming to market in such a versatile size, invited this cinematic tone poem which might, even so, look different. Instead of creating something like a tourism video, I wanted to try and capture the human energy of the city that New Yorkers themselves know best, driven by the extraordinary music of Richard Danielpour that I came across recently (ringing in my head all weekend as I captured these shots).
True to the elegant simplicity of the BMPC (http://bhpho.to/bmccpckt), I shot the entire piece handheld, using a single lens (Panasoni

Oslo and indeed Norway offer one of the most spectacular tourist experiences on our planet. Starting in the must-see Vigeland Sculpture Park, this journey takes us west to Trollstigen, out onto the Fjords of Geiranger and Oslo, aboard the famous Flam Railway, and back to Oslo for some island hopping. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I did creating it.

Hey everyone!
I somehow made it down to the EU launch event for the NVIDIA Shield TV/Console and also managed to interview the Director of Technical Product Marketing for Shield on this cool new Android TV based streaming box. I quizzed him on a few things so we can get, you curious people, as much information as possible! Used Filmconvert.
Part 2 will be coming soon. Going to try something different.

As always, thank you.

Just south of Guatemala City rests an Oasis. Never before have I witnessed or experienced God’s power at this magnitude.
If you haven't been exposed to a perspective such as this, I encourage you to explore this part of our world. While the need is indeed great, the impact we can have on individual lives and beyond may surprise you. Ripples turn into waves.
Thanks to David Cobb and Broken Shackle Ranch for helping us get down to shoot and being beside us on our journey.
Special thanks to the kindest, most sincere children and staff of the Oasis for taking us in as your own. We shall return.

This project was created as a demonstration of FilmConvert software. The software does an amazing job of emulation not only of film grain, but also the film stocks colorimetry. What makes it even richer is that the emulation is also based on the color profile of the aquisition device. This allowed me to use 4 different "film stocks" - giving me greater artistic control over the final look and feel of the finished piece. Very cool.
