The Color Correction process of this music video was crucial to seeing the vision come to life. All of the subjects in the video were practical, and in post Johnny removed the rods for the puppet, and added veins, particles, smoke, etc to create a gorgeous story about good, evil and the parts of us that get left behind, but not forgotten.

We chose to use FilmConvert in DaVinci Resolve to achieve the look of the video. Johnny wanted to create something reminiscent of 80's fantasy cinema (Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, Legend, etc...) done with modern equipment and a contemporary element. FilmConvert gave us the A great jump off point to getting the contrast and tone where we wanted it. When the Correction process was finished a couple of weeks later, we used FilmConvert to add a uniform layer of 35mm Academy film g

"La Baguette Magique" is a film about the passion and skill that drives a "Catherine", a renaissance woman who walked away from a lucrative job in pharmaceuticals when she realized her comfortable life was unfulfilling. Catherine returned to school to follow her passion and reinvent herself as a baker. She and her family moved from France to the U.S. to open La Baguette Magique, an authentic French bakery in West Chester, PA. People travel from far and wide to taste some of the magic that's baked into every Baguette Catherine makes.

Visiting rural Ohio during the Fourth of July in 2016, the filmmakers turned an observational lens onto the people of Morrow County. Documenting a 95-year-old native, his multi-generational and multi-racial family and public celebrations of the national holiday, they created a short ethnography in cinéma vérité style.

Ab Initio ("from the beginning") is a short music-dance film that examines origin myths: personal narratives, our ideas of home, our happy places, the stories we tell ourselves about where we come from, and the ways these stories guide our movements through the world around us. It takes constant devotion and upkeep to believe in something, and like any other deeply-held beliefs, our origin stories can be a source of conflict when they come into dissonance with our surroundings and our experiences. Sometimes we fight them, sometimes we flee from them, but ultimately our personal mythologies are the bridge that connects our pasts with our futures. In between is the present, where we are both the author and the protagonist of our own stories.

A non-verbal observational documentary revealing the moody, and often fog-shrouded landscapes comprising the Shetland Islands. Since the Shetlands are influenced by fierce weather generated by both the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, the islands are constantly wind-swept, and the resulting unsettled weather underpins the gritty, steadfast personality of the Shetland Islanders. The film was composed in the 2.35:1 aspect ratio and shot in the style of Michael Glawogger, wherein time is allowed to unfold under the camera's unhurried gaze. Edited and colour-graded using DaVinci Resolve Studio 16.

The music video for “Entwined” is a collaboration with Austrian filmmaker Max Rino, and it features a stunning Tim Burton-like world. “We didn`t want to create an everyday music video with continuous lip-sync and long performance parts,” said Clemens Engert of Alien Hand Syndrome, “we were aiming for something much more cinematic. So we had this idea of going into the Vienna Woods and playing with all those fascinating little elements we found there and incorporate them into the clip. It’s all about the combination of the musical and visual atmosphere and building a unified whole.”

Amanda and Mike flew in from Florida to elope together in Joshua Tree National Park. They rented the SkyHouse in Joshua Tree to get ready in. The Skyhouse is a spectacular property on the way up to the national park, complete with a swimming pool and a large area of open desert behind it. Graded with FilmConvert.

This year I was lucky enough to tell the love story of Marzia and Leo, in Rome. Rome is a unique city of its kind. Walking through the streets of Rome, one is fascinated by the solemnity of its monuments and by the absolute beauty of its being a symbol of culture. Is an open-air cinematography set. Stroll through the center you’ll come across masterpieces by the titans of European art – sculptures by Michelangelo, paintings by Caravaggio, frescoes by Raphael and fountains by Bernini. Rome offers incredible scenery for an exclusive and intimate wedding film, it is the perfect place to exchange promises of love, enjoying excellent food and excellent wine.

Her feminist practice combines her experience growing up in Pakistan with her previous career and study in International Development, examining the modern concept of self and identity for women globally. This music video has African roots- it was shot in an abandoned amusement park in the lowest point on Earth (The Dead Sea), in scorching heat. The use of color is both in controlling the harsh light and changing conditions, as well as in establishing the esthetics and vibe. Color even plays a rhythmic role here, in timed changes on beats- most work was done freestyle and jazzy, following the example of the music. The sun is prominent in setting the mood of this video, and everything is HOT! We went for a vintage, cross-processed look, with the heaviest grain we could muster, and some psychedelic color effects thrown in for good measure. The clean digital imagery was roughed-up to become as grungy and organic as possible, and the video is very high key, up to the point of over-exposure.
