Porcelain by VAVAware is a film about the organic beauty and the tension in the process of hand throwing porcelain. As a witness, you don’t really get the feeling of knowing where the next step will lead to and what the end object will look like. The moment you think everything is lost is the moment the great potential of this material finally unfolds.

This is the story of Teacher, Scientist, Artist- Bobby Jaber.
Bobby is my Great Uncle and for years I have wanted to tell his story. This short documentary film doesnt even scratch the surface of the amount of work and art Bobby has produced. Sit back and enjoy what my family and myself have had all our lives, the artistry and story of Bobby Jaber.

I recently moved to Sandpoint, ID and wanted to begin making documentaries on some of the creatives that live here. Nicole Black was my first choice. I wanted it to really portray her bright personality, and the detail of what she does. I used a ton of tight shots so as to be able to get up close and see the beauty and fine detail of her art.

Earlier this year we decided to take a break for 2 weeks and go explore the islands of Hawaii. We usually travel during winter, or to mountainous locations so this was a change and we absolutely loved it. The landscapes are stunning, the food is amazing and the fact that you can go from a turquoise beach to a mountain top at 10,000 ft in 2 hours is just crazy. In 2 weeks we got to swim, hike, drive around the most beautiful roads and witness ever changing scenery. Hawaii is a place that we will keep revisiting, until then Aloha.

In December we visited Japan, which had been on our minds for quite some time. Despite having a bit of an idea of what this country might be like, (hearing from friends and having seen photos and videos), nothing could have prepared us for it. We completely fell in love with Japan. Its peaceful and quiet feel, its polite and respectful people, its culture and amazing scenery.

After 28 years working as a Mountain Rescue, my Father retired. This is a short documentary about his career, his experiences and about a job of which the details are not well known to many. I have, myself, learned a lot during the two days while making this portrait. The joys of having a job that was more a passion than work, the strong bonds made over the years, but also the risks and the emotional impact of some of the missions. So, here is a short and condensed piece about a career that is, to me, extraordinary; of a humble and courageous man that I call my Dad.

When people think of Australia they think: white sandy beaches, hot sun, and turquoise water. Tasmania is the untamed, wilder and more rugged part of this country. In late September of this year we spent a few days in Tasmania working for James Boag alongside a bunch of really nice people, following chef James Viles whilst he harnessed and foraged for wild and raw ingredients from around the region This is a glimpse of our adventure, where we experienced the wild Tasmanian weather, warm camp fires with new friends, as well as some spectacular sunrises and sunsets.

In October 2015, we were given the opportunity to ‘Live like locals’ as part of
the Lake Wanaka Influencer Program, in New Zealand.
We left our Sydney home to spend 2 months documenting the area through photos and film.
This is a glimpse of our incredible experience and Wanaka will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Sierra Leone has endured a period plagued by one of this century's largest health threats. The country is currently paving the road forwards while facing the challenges of its own recovery along the way. This documentary short provides us with insights from the people who work at Lion Heart Medical Centre and are performing life-changing work on a daily basis. I believe these people are setting an important example for humanitarian aid organisations by showing continued progress towards a state of independence. Their motivation, strong dedication and cross-cultural collaborations were of great inspiration to me.

Post-Human is a scifi proof-of-concept short based on the award-winning and bestselling series of novels by David Simpson. Amazingly, filmed over just three hours by a crew of three, the short depicts the opening of Post-Human, drawing back the curtain on the Post-Human world and letting viewers see the world and characters they’ve only been able to imagine previously. You’ll get a taste of a world where everyone is immortal, have onboard mental “mind’s eye” computers, nanotechnology can make your every dream a reality, and thanks to the magnetic targeted fusion implants every post-human has, everyone can fly (and yep, there’s flying in this short!) But there’s a dark side to this brave new world, including the fact that every post-human is monitored from the inside out, and the one artificial superintelligence running the show might be about to make its first big mistake.

Mountains, canyons, glaciers, mighty waterfalls and whales...this is the beautiful isle of ICELAND.

Shortly after the tragic bus accident that claimed the lives of 16 members of the Humboldt Broncos, a junior hockey team from Saskatchewan Canada, a good friend of mine approached me with a song that he had written in memory of those lost, and as a tribute to the families left behind. He asked me to capture a live performance of the song that would convey the pain of the song. My goal was to keep it as raw, and emotional as possible, to put the focus solely on the message of the song, and not on the camera work. This is the ethos of my company Unseen Creative, to remain transparent and Unseen as I tell stories. For this reason, I decided to shoot at a wide angle, very close to the subject, and as a single shot. The shoot was all recording live, in one take, for both audio and video. There are no overdubs, edits, or tuning of the audio.
