This film is a visual invitation into the kitchen and playgrounds of Sven Erik Renaa at his Michellin restaurant RE-NAA in Stavanger. It showcases the interplay between the local nature and the resourcefulness of the chefs as they transform the local produce playful and often surprising ways.

Resonant Veil is about faith, love and uncertainty. Can our love for one another blind us of our faith? As the presence of martial law seeps into a middle class community, a young couple acts to try and preserve their family’s safety. They take to hiding as they believe the Bible’s prophecy of Revelation is beginning. With more questions than answers, there is immense strain put on their relationship, and there instilled faith is tested. There love is tested. With the history of persecuted Christians ever present in their minds, they find themselves at a crossroads of safety and belief.

Rest is a music project collaboration from New Zealand artists Benjamin Murray and Neil MacLeod. The lyrics circle around the idea of a progressing relationship between two people. The inevitability of change in a relationship is certain and the 'honeymoon' phase always comes to an end. How does it feel when reality hits and life returns back to the frame-to-frame? Last year, we visited a theme park celebrating America’s mythic Wild West in wintery Sweden that became a welcoming home for refugees fleeing the Syrian civil war: vimeo.com/melfilms/highchaparral As strange as that sounds, this was a pretty good deal for about 500 people looking to start a new life. But with global political winds shifting toward isolationism, the Wild West response to a refugee crisis only lasts so long. We went back to see how the West was lost.

"Re-Kindle. Loss. Fateful. Journey. Cyclical." These themes are embodied in the story of two of two individuals making their way back to each other.

"Return-Top" is another term for yo-yo. It's a skill toy that not a lot of people are aware of but, is slowly growing in popularity. Some yo-yoists consider it as a sport, some as a collector's hobby but, it has evolved through the years to the point where professional yo-yoists can actually start making a living out of it.

I was honored to be asked to make a full length video to showcase the Santa Cruz Skateboards team. This is a segment from the video featuring Santa Cruz local Mikey Curtis, which starts with a night-time scene at one of the world's oldest skateparks, Derby, in Santa Cruz, CA. Because all the classic Santa Cruz videos were shot on film, Film Convert Pro was the perfect tool to give a nod to the golden days. I also used some old VHS cameras on various shots to add a special touch to the film.

To celebrate the release of Petrichor's second album, Narisshu, we wanted to create a very simple looking, one-take music video that every time the camera looks away, the setup builds. The video was filmed inside what is now subSine | Academy of Electronic Music in Glasgow just before it was built into so we had a very tight window in which we could film the video. We came up with the concept, built the set, filmed and dismantled everything within a 12 hour period with a core team of 3 (and a few extra helpers during filming) and almost no budget. Back on a trip to Iceland .. gorgeous landscapes, Mystical atmosphere. A perfect setting for a skate ride. We began our expedition of this mystical land, hoping to purify the mind and discover a place of authentic peacefulness. The cold weather, harsh wind, and the sun all played a part in this experience. Skateboarding truly provides you with a sense of freedom and the feeling of escape.

This was shot on a DJI Phantom mounted GoPro shoot, during a 4-day road trip across Europe- from Barcelona, Spain, to Berlin, Germany, in anticipation of the 2015 Champions League finals. The use of color in this spot highlights the various countries, adverse weather conditions, times of day and climates that span the continent. Many effects were simulated in the color grading process- among them fog, sun flares and day-for-night. We looked for wide vistas, rich blues and greens and a sense of depth. Achieving variety was key, while also fighting the digital, over-sharpened look the GoPro often produces.
