Santa Cruz was our last stop before heading back to San Diego after spending 4 days on the road bouncing around California. We got there a little later than we planned, but after spending a few minutes watching the guys (and girls) charge waves, we decided to grab some gear out of the van and see what we could get. We found a nice spot on the cliff and spent the next 30 minutes chasing surfers with our lens. Santa Cruz is one of our favorite Northern California towns, so it was cool to take a break and just film something for the fun of it.

In Northern Spain the autonomous community of Galicia provides some of the most striking landscapes in Spain. From the beautiful mountains and lush forests inland to the unique series of bay-like inlets around the coast (known colloquially as 'rías'). These rías provide the surfers in Galicia with amazing conditions no matter the direction of the wind or the swell. Galicians know what makes their home so special, we wanted to share that with the rest of the world.

Once a month I make an Adventures segment for the local news that promotes year round fun in Northern Michigan. We team up with a couple business in Traverse City to build a surprise sledding hill for students during recess.

The film showcases Landmannalaugar, one of Iceland's surreal wilderness areas. Edited, colour-graded and sound-mixed using DaVinci Resolve Studio 14.

When all of us at GiantDwarf first heard the track survivor we new we had a special project and journey ahead of us. With Tones melodic voice and production combined with Mic Righteous incredible lyrics we new we needed to come up with something to compliment what was already an epic project. So after numerous brainstorming sessions and and concepts we were very happy when we reached what we thought was the perfect video idea to go with the survivor track. The artist and his management loved the treatment and off we went to shoot the video. We shot the majority of the video on the Canon 5d mk3 and used a Set of Carl Zeiss Prime Lenses to capture the cinematic look that the artist had reques

For Suzanne, rendering this short time in a young person's life, one still at a time, is her calling. For her seniors, it's all about testing the waters, breaking boundaries, and making some of the most important choices of one's young life. In essence, for those on both sides of the camera, senior year is all about the wonder inherent in a single bold challenge: Define Yourself.

We leave our hometown full of ideas about the world that aren’t our own and spend time working towards things that ultimately lead us to dead ends. Part of finding what success looks like for any of us is walking away from those things that hold us back, being real with ourselves about where we’ve come from and having the courage to ask ourselves, “What now?”

This film was made as part of a weekly community film 'game' I participate in. The rules for the films made that week were that it had to be shot on a phone, and could only include one cut. I came up with an idea to have what appeared to be several cuts, but weren't. We filmed one hour and a half long single take across several locations on a phone. Each performance had to be good on the first try or we'd have to start over. I then speedramped the black parts in between the scenes. It was an insane exhilarating experience trying to pull it off and it worked out.
