This video is to remember the Forest Brothers, the post-World War II resistance fighters in Lithuania. In those days, the forest of Kazlu Ruda where this video was shot, was a hiding place for the fighters. The main character walks into the woods and back into his memories. He is here to hide and to escape his everyday troubles and the battles that he has to fight every day.

This video I produced for free lance artist Jasmine Pradissitto. Working with the client we decided to make a hybrid video a blend of a commercial and documentary style. Jasmine's work is based on colour and light so it was vital that the colour work I did in post did her pieces justice. FilmConvert was a vital element to give the film the look I wanted. I love the sense of mystery you can discover in the quieter and less traveled corners of a city. The sidestreets and alleys. The doorways and the storefronts. And of course, the graffiti and looming skyscrapers that seem to appear no matter how far you drift off the beaten path. Even in Manhattan, you can still find these quiet, little spots, especially after dark when there are less bodies to cross your frame. Despite the title, there were actually TWO islands in the video, since I the opening daylight shots were done in Williamsburg. Everything else was filmed in Manhattan over several days in late August and early September.

Filmed on GH4 in Cinema 4K, in tweaked version of Matt Mosher's M-log settings (same as those found here http://blog.planet5d.com/2015/05/frustrated-with-no-v-log-l-for-your-gh4-try-matthew-moshers-m-log-cinematic-look-instead/, except I left Master Pedestal at 0).

Wilfred Legei is a ranger at Lewa Conservancy in Kenya. As a child he and his family were nomadic herders known as Maasai. Wilfred has always felt a close connection to the land he calls home and the animals he lives along-side. He decided to become a ranger at Lewa, helping to protect the animals from poachers as well as sharing his knowledge of the natural world with visitors. This is his story.

We here at Subharmonic City Productions got together with the band to finally break this streak. This video was made specifically for the FilmConvert Short Film Competition. The video was originally going to be in black & white, but seeing how Film Convert made the color footage look was amazing, so now there are 2 versions.

The Rest was written and composed by Andreas Scholl's and Tamar Halperin's friend Ari Frankel. Opening wiping ceramic tiles, a 5-part song cycle for countertenor and piano, the ex-Israeli American was inspired here by his Polish-born artist parents, and by Italian chemist and writer Primo Levi. The structures of these prayer-like poems are deceptively simple: they are not easy to perform well. In The Rest, it is actually the voice carrying the piano along, with far-reaching lines.

"Twinstyle The Revenge" is the trailer for two music videos that a German twin rap duo produced by Corneliusfilms.

It represents the idea of journey of humans not giving up and nature guiding to man if he wills to walk on it even if there are ups and downs in life. Man could do anything he can imagine with his curiosity. This was my plot idea to present along with showing beauty and fury of nature.

It is 1942. A band of soldiers has been stuck in the woods during a ceasefire. The momentary peace and the increasing heat of early Spring misleads them into a sense of security and carelessness. After a dream of home and comfort, Anthony, a young soldier, tries to hold on to his humanity and identity, seeking catharsis in the nearby river.

This is an entry in the FilmConvert Cinematography competition for 2015. Genre: documentary.

It was filmed at Port de Dinan and along the River Rance in Brittany in France.

The film was shot using a Sony FS100 camera, part hand-held and part mounted on a Manfrotto video monopod. It was edited in FCP X and colour-graded using FilmConvert. The music, "Dead Horse", was composed by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis.

Canon Switzerland were kind enough to lent me the Canon EOS RP for my last trip to Japan, to make some few tests. I shot this piece during my two weeks vacation, between Tokyo, Kamakura and Kyoto. Sydnie is a model and friend of mine who I couldn’t get ahold of for almost eight months. When she finally resurfaced, it was with a story of a deeply affecting relationship, and of the strength it took to find herself again. Sydnie always struck me as so confident, and quick, and funny, and it was moving to hear how vulnerable she had been. We made this wee micro-documentary as a way to celebrate her and her return.

I made this little antacid commercial based off a funny idea I had a while back.

A short film for The Rye Retreat, a salon and spa situated in the centre of the Cinque Port town of Rye, in Sussex, UK. The objective was to mirror the modern, exciting and friendly atmosphere of the place, with a view to attracting new staff as well as customers. It was filmed on a single sunny day in July (2017) and was almost exclusively hand-held, with a few slider shots thrown in for good measure.
