I wanted to capture what time in the mountains meant to me. On a recent trip where I would typically spend my time skiing, I took the time to get into the back country and explore the mountain regions at a slower pace. It meant a lot of strenuous hikes and climbs but the serenity and beauty of this wondrous environment more than made up for it.

It's rich history, deep azure waters, and friendly locals make for a perfect island experience. This was filmed during our three day visit to the island. The hike to the old Spanish fort is 3km each way. The island was well known for it's massive tuna fishing industry, but in the last 20 years it's main source of income has become tourism.

By Wade DunstanKeeping a diary. It’s actually a nice thing to do. Something you undertake for yourself. An act of both letting go and preserving. In “Isolated Crows of Solitude”, Tehran-based director Sahar Soleimani turns such daily personal reporting into a means of surveillance, of repression. People are forced to keep logs of their days. Having their own ideas, discovering their own potential, maturing into individual personalities – these are utopian aims in this dystopian world. Those who rebel against the rules of the totalitarian system are “cured” with a mask. The power of dictatorship? Isolation. Alienation. Solitude. Reza is one of them. And one of them.
By FelixIn April we were lucky enough to visit Turkey to work on a couple of documentaries. Whilst we did not have a lot of free time, we managed to spend a day in Istanbul and explore this beautiful and culture-rich city and tried to make the most out of it. This a short portrait made of scenes and places we saw during that day.

By Ali KanibelliFrom birth, a female must maintain a certain image. She must live up to expectations. She is constantly fed cultural lies. This story is snapshot of a girl's life from the girl's point of view . This film is the setup to a much bigger multimedia piece which resolves on stage with a song and theatrics. The overall concept being who the world says you are versus what God and the Bible say you are. Lies vs Truth.

I was asked in early September to do a same day edit for Jan Acosta and her future husband Jake Zipay. She wanted something very cinematic and movie like. I knew it would've been way harder to do it by myself so I asked my sister and good friend and brother in law to help out. Since focus would be really critical with the moving shots on my ronin and the fact that native glass has autofocus, which is more user friendly for my assistant cameramen; I decided to rent Sony Fe glass to go with the Sony Cameras we were using and forego with my canon glass on this occasion. I do not regret that decision one bit and might just sell my canon glass now. With some careful planning we were able to create something magical for their night. Starting at 830am and shot till 7pm. I started editing around 5pm while my team helped with the remaining shots.
Edited in 3hrs. I used FilmConvert to Color Correct the video to give it a more film like feel while still keeping the natural colors the camer
We would love to share the story of Janelle and Ante, that got married in the beautiful Split in Croatia, gathering friends and family from all over the world to celebrate their love. A love that led Janelle all the way from the USA to Paris, to find Ante and then both to Ante’s hometown to get married. A love that wasn’t always easy. Sometimes, love is about overcoming obstacles and facing challenges. To fight to be together and never let go. But in the end all that is just a reminder of how strong love can be…

The way FilmConvert is able to take the digital edge off our other cameras and help them blend with the film is damn lovely. If chosen, we are more than happy to take a final pass at the film to grade it even more cohesively as well as break down our workflow. We hope you enjoy and thanks for watching!

By Christopher Cole"From his earliest years as an artist, Hartman has been drawn to the (extremely complicated, extremely difficult) discipline of portraiture, and it is this fascination that has brought him, almost inevitably, to the subject of writers. Hartman is a reader, for one thing. But, for another, writers are cut from the same cloth as Hartman in many ways. They are observant. They are more comfortable with individuals than they are with generalizations. They do not imagine that time is a simple sequence. And they see landscapes – whether the Miramachi River in New Brunswick or MacLaughlin Point in British Columbia – as places where stories are kept. The same can be said of a face. It’s a history. It’s a revelation. It’s a map." – David Macfarlane Graded with FilmConvert
By David HartmanJohn Muir - Coming Home is a short film directed by Michael Coleman a Martinez, California native inspired by the writings of naturalist, author and early advocate of wilderness preservation John Muir. Many of the locations featured in the film are authentic to Muir's life including his home in Martinez, California, northeast of Oakland and Muir Woods National Monument just north of San Francisco, California. Muir's original writings and books were shot at his home including the windmill that accompanies the 2,600-acre fruit orchard that surrounded his families property and John Muir's desk in the "Scribble Den". Muir was perhaps this country's most famous and influential naturalist. If it weren't for John Muir and his writings, we probably would not have Yosemite National Park as we know it today. He was also involved in the creation of the Grand Canyon, Kings Canyon, Petrified Forest, and Mt. Rainier National Parks. Additionally, his writings about Alaska led to further preserv

By Felix S. HoffmannJon and James were paired up in March of 2017. At the time they were living on opposite sides of the country. James had never ridden a tandem bicycle and Jon had a bowl style skateboard helmet and his first pair of clip-less cycling shoes, which he was keen to try out for race day. After a couple of wobbly starts and one low speed crash, Jon and James stormed onto their first podium, taking a bronze medal and their first steps toward the 2020 Paralympic Games. This film was created to share their story and raise funds to keep the momentum going.
