By Fatty SopranoHitasha is a lead cake designer and owner of The Cakery Bake Shop and this girl can design cakes like no other. Being a South Asian Videography studio, we get to work with many vendors but it’s an honor when we get to film their own wedding. During my early discussions with Hitasha and Kunal, I learned three things very quickly: they have a great love story, they love Bollywood and she is going to design her own cake. I knew that if we somehow capture these three things, we will achieve the goal of capturing something which means lot to them. When it comes to Bollywood, what can be better than lovebirds in the rain? They loved the idea and we decided to go with it. Long story short, it was challenging but fun to capture rain shots without having Bollywood budget. Since Hitasha is a cake designer she planned to make her own cake. I never knew what it takes to design one until I show her planning and designing it. She held intimate Mehndi event at her house with close families and fri

By AndreiIs a photograph just a representation of existence in a moment that can never be relived again? Or is it a moment in time that stays connected to us through our emotions? What if it was a time portal to a moment long passed, and yet still existing, a moment in which we become the bystanders to our own lives.

By Mark WlodarczykAn intimate peek into one day in 11 years with my dog Mesha, a Miniature Pinscher. She came with me on trips all over Japan, spending a lot of time on the road, waiting for the right light and weather conditions to photograph rural and coastal areas. In September 2018 I started filming clips to rough out the concept and later re-shoot it with another camera in various locations over several months. Unfortunately in September 2019, Mesha passed away suddenly and unexpectedly before I could finish the project the way I had envisioned. This documentary is made with the footage I had up until that point.

By Riccardo FasoliWhile visiting my mom in in Albania I saw #takenbyalbania tourism campaign... Great video, but... #Albania has so much to give without references to it's "bad" reputation in action movies. We decided to do our own short "recap" of the visit and call it #givenbyalbania Why given??? Because Albania gave us the opportunity to enjoy it's hospitality, great food, beautiful landscapes, well preserved historical sites, e.t.c... To know what "e.t.c" includes just watch the video!)) Sadly we had only 3 days so we covered only a small part of the country. I hope one day we will come back...

By Ismael GonzalezRejected from their families, housing, jobs; many transgender people have to figure out other means of survival. This community is intensely profiled by the police and when incarcerated rates of sexual assault and abuse at the hands of both inmates and guards are 10 times higher for the transgender community as compared to the general population. Most transgender people are forced to serve time in facilities that don’t align with their gender identity. Ms. Diamond’s story unfortunately is only one of many.

Monique and Erik are Brazilian filmmakers living in Canada, and they reached out to us as they loved our style and thought we'd be a good fit to film their ten-year vow renewal in Las Vegas. By JimWe observe a young man. He s now sitting there weighing in on his options on how to commit suicide. He is not alone though, his other selves, the hippie, the cool guy and the old man are always with him. Together they go on a metaphysical journey through the young man s life, time and space don’ t matter anymore. We meet the young man as a boy-choir member, trying to run away from two very mean looking bullies. We join a party, where all his ex-girlfriends (and boyfriends) do nothing but complain about him, we go on an esoterically fuelled self healing trip and although he doesn’ t achieve spiritual enlightenment, he at least got enough material for an audiobook out of it. “monolog” is a 14-minute short film by the young Viennese-director Christian Thüringer, who also plays all the lead roles. The short film will was on festival tour world wide in 2014 and 2015 and won several awards, including best original screenplay, best actor and best video editing.

Mr. Tam, a veteran pastry & dim sum chef, reminisces about the Mid-Autumn Festival & why he continues to make mooncakes by hand.
By Andrew GooiThis is a follow up post to show how our Moonlight video looked like after it had been color graded. There were a handful of requests form viewers asking us to upload a graded version. We graded it with FilmConvert in Adobe Premiere Pro using the Sony A7s camera pack, Slog2 - S Gamut Profile, and the FJ 8553 ET FilmConvert Stock.
It was amazing to see how much color the A7s was able to bring out once we applied the Slog2 - S Gamut Profile to the clips. We desaturated the final grade to keep the moonlight feel.

After 5 years since their Fat Beats full length debut, Eternia & MoSS return with "Day & Night". Featured on MoSS's album "Marching to the Sound of My Own Drum", MoSS provides a hypnotizing and haunting sonic backdrop as Eternia struggles between spirit and flesh in her signature soul-excavating style. "Day & Night" explores the war going on inside every person, for "what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do" (St. Paul). The outcome of the battle is left unknown, as Eternia's chorus prays, "Don't let the sun set on me..." Director Ian Johnson cinematically explores themes of darkness vs. light, lust, and the multiplicity of one being. The visuals, as hypnotizing as MoSS's production, also pays homage to MoSS's psychedelic classic rock musicality in the colouring, editing, and aesthetic styling.
By Ian JohnsonPart two of a series. Each entry in the series follows the same framing and movement, but the tone and situations change drastically. Intended to be an exercise in mood, "MOTION" is an ongoing project that I use to explore emotions in quick, abstract art pieces and to sharpen my skills as a filmmaker. Thanks for watching!
