Allan Myers reached out about creating a film for their 80th Anniversary Party. This became an opportunity to showcase the company, from the smallest of tasks to the largest of job sites.

Erin and Greg had such a positive attitude towards the rain on their wedding day. After packing up all of my equipment, the rain picked back up and gave me the urge to get creative. I set up a light outside (covered with a plastic bag), went back inside and told them to "trust me". A few months later when I delivered the film, Erin wrote in her review: "One of my favorite moments from the wedding was when Houston pulled us aside and told us an idea he had - to shoot us slow dancing in the rain. The end product of his idea is something we will cherish forever. Taking time to soak (literally) everything in, to slow down, and dance in the storm with my husband was truly magic and defined the evening for us."

This film was made as part of a weekly community film 'game' I participate in. The rules for the films made that week were that it had to be shot on a phone, and could only include one cut. I came up with an idea to have what appeared to be several cuts, but weren't. We filmed one hour and a half long single take across several locations on a phone. Each performance had to be good on the first try or we'd have to start over. I then speedramped the black parts in between the scenes. It was an insane exhilarating experience trying to pull it off and it worked out.

I'd wanted to try and recreate the mirror scene from the movie 'Contact' for years and finally found a week where it made sense to try it. It took way more work than I imagined but turned out really neat.

I made this for a local community film challenge I take part in weekly. The rules for films made that week were that it must include slow motion and you had two days to do it. This one has heavy inspiration from two scenes in the movie Hot Rod, one of my all time favorite comedies.

About the couple: This is a story of paths crossing, from Guatemala to Spain. When you have two people who are passionate, considerate and loving, it's a moment that you won't forget when you see them decide to take the journey together and not apart. About the film: While creating the film, we had the privilege of recording their proposal in Lago Atitlan in Guatemala, as well as the wedding and reception. So having access to these moments really opened up the edit to a non-traditional story. We wanted this wedding film to show the interconnected stories that a wedding can have. We also wanted the music to complement the location as it’s near an active volcano. We also graded the film with FilmConvert to breathe life into the footage.

It was shot in the place, where the director of the music video was born and raised. Also it's the exact location where part of the HBO's series Chernobyl were shot.

I had an opportunity to film a beautiful after-party for a wedding of a beautiful couple on a beautiful day. Shot entirely with a BMPCC 4K with a EF-S 17-55mm. Graded with FilmConvert.

In 2018, me and my girlfriend traveled to Georgia, a small country in the Caucasus mountains. Only with backpacks and tent we went on a 4-day hike from Mestia to the medieval village of Ushguli, where time seemed to stand still. In this short film I wanted to capture this majestic place and the beauty of this raw landscape.

Our friend Jes is a talented photographer who happens to be a beekeeper on her spare time. She asked us if we wanted to come and film her bees. We then decided to turn this into a little doco. This was originally prompted by the fact that bees were recently declared the most important living beings on this planet. Thus was filmed in the Blue Mountains, close to Sydney, Australia.

As she writes an article paying respect to a hit and run victim, Robyn finds some bizarre coincidences that lead her to believe there must be more to the case.

This is my first music video that i direct/produce. In our region, there is little support for local artists to produce good quality music video. So i decided to form collaborations within a small budget of 300$ to make something that stand outs as an Arabic Rap music video. I used three different moods, the neon, the natural, and the studio, to reflect the inner and the outer of the artist.

The Nongovernmental Organization “ZipZap: Inspiring kids for life” offeres kids a new home, a meaning and a place to live and learn. For many kids this means the way from the barracks to the big stages. However, the over twothousand kids and youngsters stem from different social strata and are affected from different pasts. In ZipZap they are all equal and have same chance to enter the circus family. This was the case for Aviwe, who came to the circus school as a youngster and returned home after years, saying “Now I am feeling like I am going into the right direction. ZipZap changed my life”.

I traveled to the 'Land of Ice and Fire' in October 2017. With a concept in mind of what I wanted to create I teamed up with Benni, Markus and Johannes of Wildboar 3D Studio. Luckily the guys shared my vision so we worked on this passion project together.

This is a film about an inspirational young man. Johnny Botton has faced challenges that many could not even contemplate. His journey through foster care, living with cerebral palsy and overcoming the prejudices that come with these, have made Johnny a role model and example to many. Johnny used to visit our family on respite for holidays. It was always obvious that his upbeat, compassionate and positive outlook on life was going to guide serve him well. My own children and foster children regard Johnny as a surrogate brother, and it was inevitable that I would do a film about Johnny at some point.

Esther Huss is a dance artist and a choreographer, she has performed with industry giants such as The Royal Opera House, Jacky Lansley, Michael Keegan-Dolan and Aletta Collins. Esther choreographed In my Silence in response to a piece of music by Tomas Rosberg, a singer/songwriter from Argentina. She then filmed it over one week on location in Setubal with the help of Portuguese film production company Luckymatrix.

A short 3-min doco about the gifted custom moped & bike builders Holy Spokes and their wild bunch of motor heads. I challenged myself to create a documentary without quotes, trying to captures the essence of what makes these motor heads tick without words. During the shoot it struck me that their way of life somehow resembles the 4 stages of life in Hinduism, hence the expression Mopedism in the title. Btw: The bylines of the chapter titles are in slangy Swiss German, translating the English main titles with a slight irony - unfortunately this cannot be adequately translated into English without getting lost in translation.

The Recovery Mission is a 3-piece instrumental prog-rock band from El Paso, TX. Over the course of the band's 15-year life-span, not once did they ever put out a music video. We here at Subharmonic City Productions got together with the band to finally break this streak. This video was made specifically for the FilmConvert Short Film Competition. The video was originally going to be in black & white, but seeing how amazing Film Convert made the color footage look, there are now 2 versions.
