By Matias RispauIn Cold War-times, Cuba racked up a debt with what was then called Czecholslavakia. Since then, the Soviet Union collapsed, Czechoslovakia became the Czech Republic, and Cuba stood frozen in time. That Soviet-era debt survives though, and negotiations have recently surfaced for Cuba to repay that debt in rum. According to The Guardian, 130 years worth. Of rum. That’s a fun story, right? We thought so too. So we went to Cuba to tell it, and learned that you can’t just make a puff piece in an active military dictatorship.

By ForrestJMcBrideThe music video for “Entwined” is a collaboration with Austrian filmmaker Max Rino, and it features a stunning Tim Burton-like world. “We didn`t want to create an everyday music video with continuous lip-sync and long performance parts,” said Clemens Engert of Alien Hand Syndrome, “we were aiming for something much more cinematic. So we had this idea of going into the Vienna Woods and playing with all those fascinating little elements we found there and incorporate them into the clip. It’s all about the combination of the musical and visual atmosphere and building a unified whole.”

By Alex FamilianHow do you approach what we call music – for its creators, for its listeners, for its tangent society? Martin Kohlstedt, a composer and pianist in the maelstrom of contemporary experimental classical music searches and provides his own answers in form of improvisations, modular compositions and foremost in the embrace of intuitive emotion. They lead him from his rustic thuringian home to the seemingly abstract musical cultures of Iran, the United States and Russia to circle around and ultimately arrive back at himself. For the film-maker Patrick Richter the search for certain moments becomes the main tool: The next note could very we
By Patrick RichterThis wedding film was something out of the ordinary; we wanted to treat it like a short film and really drive the film's emotions through music and visuals. We left California with storyboards, color grade plan, and song selection. The next step was getting the shots and completing the film. I love the pairing of my Blackmagic Ursa mini pro with FilmConvert. It also matches so nicely on my DJI Phantom4Pro footage. Anyways, ENJOY!

By sebastian lindbladIn today's world with so much business, scandal, and constant feeling of dread, we often convince ourselves that everything is all right while the world is burning around us. Threats of nuclear war, famine, wildfires, and world leaders performing a farce on the world stage leave us realizing how little control we have in life. We suppress our fears, put on a smile, and tell everyone things are good.
