By Geno DiMariaThis is a short film showing the incredible light and landscape of some of the Scottish mountains and lochs. Driving around Scotland in a van is an experience that surpassed expectations, even though they were high to begin with. The reason for the trip was a location recce for an upcoming short film project, it's safe to say we found some stunning locations. We only had 6 days, it just wasn't enough, there is so much to see and I just wanted to stop and take it all in.
By Adam Stocker'Working the Sea' follows the fortunes of the Bagwells, a Sidmouth fishing family from the forties when young Stan was fishing with his father in a borrowed boat, to the nineties when they have two fish shops, two trawlers fishing out of Brixham, and three boats working off the beach at Sidmouth. Then, tragedy strikes and the women of the family pick up the pieces. The film also weaves the contemporary users of the coast, from the sailing club to the lifeboat, into the narrative. So this is ultimately a film about community spirit and how a mutual love of and respect for the sea draws people together. 'This stunning film: fascinating and inspiring, funny and humbling is a powerful reminder how lucky we are on the coast'. By MatthewI drank too much prosecco and whipped out my camera during my good friends' wedding. Lucky I did because it's probably one of those most meaningful little films I've ever shot. As usual, FilmConvert is my secret sauce to making my little Sony not look like what people expect it should.

By Jan ErdlA cheese-maker’s recipe and process is a closely-guarded secret. Internationally renowned Quicke’s contacted me under a veil of secrecy and told me of the imminent launch of their new-recipe clothbound cheese. The introduction of a new ingredient, Cornish Sea Salt, was a really big deal. In close collaboration with Quicke’s I created ‘This Land’ a poetry-driven brand film and a series of four recipe films with Cornwall chef Ben Quinn. The content series is designed to knit together the fabric of the Quicke’s and Cornish Sea Salt brands to celebrate and promote this ‘new wave’ in cheese making.
By foxwellfilmsTears In The Rain, the award-winning South African sci-fi short by filmmaker Christopher Grant Harvey, is an unabashed love letter to the 1982 motion picture Blade Runner, and Philip K. Dick's novel 'Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep'? Set in Los Angeles in the latter part of the twenty-first century, the short stars Sean Cameron Michael as John Kampff, a mysterious law enforcement official who is tracking down a man named Andy Smith (Russel Savadier), who is suspected of being a replicant: an artificial being almost indistinguishable from humans. With its haunting, 80s-inspired synthesized score, futuristic Los Angeles cityscape complete with flying cars, looming ultra-skyscrapers, and neon-haloed, grime covered streets, Tears In The Rain convincingly duplicates the dark dystopian aesthetic of Blade Runner.

By ryanThis is the first in a series for us. A bit of a passion project I guess. Our friend Soren lives out in the French Alps with an amazing story to tell. One day we struck the realisation that we know a bunch of young people who have taken a big leap of faith and are pursuing some really cool dreams. So we decided that we would make a mini series of films that showcase their talents - The People Project. This video was shot pretty much all handheld on a 5D across a 3 day period. Me and Chloe drove down to the alps and hung out with Soren, filming as much as we could. We then left the footage on our hard drives for over a year before coming back to it and starting the edit. We're really proud of the end result!

By Remi ChapeaublancJohn Muir - Coming Home is a short film directed by Michael Coleman a Martinez, California native inspired by the writings of naturalist, author and early advocate of wilderness preservation John Muir. Many of the locations featured in the film are authentic to Muir's life including his home in Martinez, California, northeast of Oakland and Muir Woods National Monument just north of San Francisco, California. Muir's original writings and books were shot at his home including the windmill that accompanies the 2,600-acre fruit orchard that surrounded his families property and John Muir's desk in the "Scribble Den". Muir was perhaps this country's most famous and influential naturalist. If it weren't for John Muir and his writings, we probably would not have Yosemite National Park as we know it today. He was also involved in the creation of the Grand Canyon, Kings Canyon, Petrified Forest, and Mt. Rainier National Parks. Additionally, his writings about Alaska led to further preserv

By Jose Miguel JimenezKNOWER is one of the most vital and energetic dance/electronic groups in the world, so it was imperative for me as an editor to have a performance video that felt nothing like the average performance video, something that felt every bit as colorful and dizzying as the band itself. In order to do this, I decided to employ a number of 60's experimental film techniques, namely splitscreen and variable frame rates, but without upsetting the integrity of the performance by using shots from different parts of the set or doctoring performances. It was shot with five cameras running simultaneously, and every cut and corner of the frame is real time, down to the last note. FilmConvert™ was a huge part of that - not only was I able to very easily create a unique color and lighting scheme for each camera, but I could also really push the limits of each angle without ever encountering artifacts or crashing the software. And I was really pushing it, too! Each angle was saturated at 200% with highli
