During late Winter 2015, I traveled up to Harrisburg, PA to shoot the Buszka wedding. Now, the groom and I go back a ways, as we're both graduates of the Film/Video Production program at Penn State University. That said, when we began chatting about his upcoming nuptials, I was nothing less than thrilled to be a part of the process. After all...WE ARE PENN STATE! On the big day, I ran my usual two camera setup (Sony A7s and Canon 70D), aiming for an equally familiar "fly-on-the-wall," photojournalist vibe while shooting. During the edit, my goal was to add a little vintage flare to the visuals by lifting the blacks and aging the colors (FilmConvert helped wonders in this regard). In the end, the finished product took on a real sense of warmth and nostalgia, feeling like a quiet memory of some long lost, really good day.

A commercial I shot for the insurance company Miway along with comedian Mpho "Popps" Modikoane. FilmConvert really helped us out here with maintaining enough colour and contrast in various skin tones across different kinds of faces and people

In the Fall of 2014, my good friend and mega-talented photog, Suzanne Mellott, began chatting with me about developing a new kind of photography promo video, one that would not only offer a snapshot of Suzanne Mellott Photography as a business, but also expose and highlight the monumental right-of-passage that is "Senior Year." For Suzanne, rendering this short time in a young person's life, one still at a time, is her calling. For her seniors, it's all about testing the waters, breaking boundaries, and making some of the most important choices of one's young life. In essence, for those on both sides of the camera, senior year is all about the wonder inherent in a single bold challenge: Define Yourself.

The Video is about traditional songs in Oman, which reflect Omani traditional art, and Sohar is one city in Oman where these traditional songs are practiced.

Corbin, formerly known worldwide as Spooky Black, returns with a cinematic visual for “Hunker Down,” taken from his debut album Mourn. The forest is not only present, but central. Corbin is heading up north, to "where 61 touches the waterline," referencing the highway that traces Minnesota's arrowhead, along the western edge of Lake Superior. We were asked by USN (Ultimate Sports Nutrition) and their agency to create both an inspirational video that would also serve as a commercial for the re-launch of the USN brand globally. We feel this video came out really nicely and love the shots we got. Grading it in the end with FilmConvert helped tie it all together as we shot over various days and at various locations.

A music video that exudes the ideals of youth and freedom through a colour-filled frenzy - The video was shot at 1000 frames per second to portray a concept indicative of the longevity life; you catch yourself blinking and before you know it, it is over. The Music Video was shot and directed by Rick Joaquim and would not have been possible without an amazing team consisting of the film crew, dancers, models and the band.

In what can only be described as the movie event of the summer, Tiddly Films present ‘Saving Private Lion’ - an action-packed WW2 mini-epic, which is quite clearly based on a true story (hmm!) First we see a fictional dramatised account of the D-Day landings, followed by a calamitous attempt at a re-enactment of the former at the Aberystwyth Charity Raft Race in 2017 using Go Pro action cams. Filmconvert was used to try and match the look of the Go Pro footage to that of the Blackmagic Camera (which was graded using Da Vinci Resolve), achieving a bleak, WW2-movie look.

I went to a cyclocross race at Dornburg Saale at Winter 2014. It was my first "bigger" project with my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. I captured some nice footage of the amateur series. Back on a trip to Iceland .. gorgeous landscapes, Mystical atmosphere. A perfect setting for a skate ride. We began our expedition of this mystical land, hoping to purify the mind and discover a place of authentic peacefulness. The cold weather, harsh wind, and the sun all played a part in this experience. Skateboarding truly provides you with a sense of freedom and the feeling of escape.
