PARIS.MACHINE.LOVE is a tiny short film on a moment of love and compassion between (wo)man and machine, filmed in Paris. The short film is about artificial intelligence and the first ATM/cash machine to gain consciousness - as machines become ever more evolved and connected to the world. The idea being it is that they are coded by men, in a language which is different from ours but would still allow for (human) error - or bugs. As opposed to the traditional view that intelligent machines would be 100% rational entities, this film takes into account human flaws as trait or characters that would be passed on to them. And so therefore the cash machine in the film assumes human-like behaviour and is prone to the same flaws and weaknesses. But the core message is that we don't know what machines will do in the future when they surpass our capabilities - and how we interact with them is likely to influence this as well. Filmed in London, UK with the NHS staff (National Health Service) at King's College Hospital. Strong is a song about Rony's experience of working in hospitals, where the staff are often pushed to the edge, working long shifts and dealing with matters of life and death... which sometimes lead people to depression when the pressure is just too much. Rony was once told by a fellow doctor to just "man up" and leave his feelings aside. He thought otherwise and wrote this song instead, a powerful folk ballad about manning up to your emotions, accepting and facing them. That's what being strong should be about.

After 5 years since their Fat Beats full length debut, Eternia & MoSS return with "Day & Night". Featured on MoSS's album "Marching to the Sound of My Own Drum", MoSS provides a hypnotizing and haunting sonic backdrop as Eternia struggles between spirit and flesh in her signature soul-excavating style. "Day & Night" explores the war going on inside every person, for "what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do" (St. Paul). The outcome of the battle is left unknown, as Eternia's chorus prays, "Don't let the sun set on me..." Director Ian Johnson cinematically explores themes of darkness vs. light, lust, and the multiplicity of one being. The visuals, as hypnotizing as MoSS's production, also pays homage to MoSS's psychedelic classic rock musicality in the colouring, editing, and aesthetic styling.

Drone footage is appearing at an explosive rate and when done properly is incredibly beautiful and can almost tell us a story in itself. Drawing on my background in music and film production, I decided to combine it with other elements to create a totally immersive experience which people have never quite seen before. I call this film a Drone Micro Drama.

abroadlives promotes charities around the world with the aim to promote conscious traveling. We visited Nepal and met amazing people who generously shared their stories with us. We also did some great activities including the world's biggest zip line, whitewater rafting and off-road adventures. Nepal needs more tourist to explore the country as tourism is its biggest provider of jobs and income. We hope that through our documentary, people will see that Nepal is safe to visit after the earthquake, all its beauty is intact and the people are incredible!

Laura and Lauran were married under one of the many oak trees at Ojai Valley Inn which is great symbol of lasting marriage. As Laura mentioned the scenic venue provided a lot of great atmosphere without needing much added to it. Her style seemed to favor a timeless approach and she chose a photographer who shoots film which you don't see often these days. I choose to grade the film with a heavy film look to match the feel getting away from the latest push for ultra high sharp looking videos and staying away from effects like slow motion and drones. I prefer to focus on the important moments of the day by being patient and letting the action unfold in front of the camera rather than chasing it or setting up fake scenarios. Natural emotion, solid composition, finding the light and great audio are to me what makes this film stand apart. It was the 60th anniversary of actor James Dean's death on September 30, 2015. So, I journeyed from California to Indiana for a few days last year at the end of September to celebrate his life.

Up until a few ago, all that I knew about nurses was that they were nice people that worked in hospitals. Because I dislike nothing more than getting sick or injured I actively avoided hospitals, and thereby most nurses. This all changed when Texas A&M University's College of Nursing reached out to me about filming a promotional video showing why nurses are awesome, and more importantly, why Aggie nurses are the absolute best. Since both my wife and I are Aggies, of course we jumped at the chance to revisit College Station, eat tacos at Fuego, and film something special for the College of Nursing. My fears of hospitals were put aside as we filmed nurses in training, forensic nurses, nurse classes, and even a flight nurse. Which means, you guessed it, I got to fly in a helicopter - EASILY one of the coolest things I've ever done.
