This short doc is part of a series of small films that we developed for the Kingston Accommodation Partners in Kingston, Ontario. This short profiles Marney McDiarmid on her creative process, and why she chooses Kingston as her home. We developed the shooting style, using a combination of handheld and lens whacking. FilmConvert allowed us to get the rough film look we wanted in the end. ***We used two film stocks. IL FN FP and FJ 8543 VD to get the contrasting looks.***

Nothing says good old quality like film, and that is why I decided to shoot this piece with an old Helios44 and Proskar-16 anamorphic setup, and grade it with FilmConvert, to really gave me the look I was going for. Cannot remember which Film Stock I used though, but think it was FJ 8543 VD, which is one of my favorites.

We spent the last week of this season up north at the Levi ski resort and got to enjoy everything you might expect from the Finnish spring. The insane Wappu celebrations, two-hour-long sunsets, slushy snow and occasional unexpected rain storms. The Levi snow park crew was on point and built a mellow but doubleable kicker and a the fat-tube-drop-rail for the Estonians to shred. Big thanks to everyone involved and let's hope the audio won't get muted!

Here we have a series of aerial shots done on a recent trip back to my tiny little caribbean island of Grenada also known as "Home". It was early morning, maybe 6/7am and i decided to venture to the near by beach called Grand Anse to test out my new drone. This was probably the 3rd time flying. All images captured with the drone and gopro hero 4. After sitting on the footage for a while i finally decided to use it to learn adobe premier pro and also dabble a bit with sfx and sound design. Ghosts and Empties is part of a continuing series of films titled Zones of Change, exploring themes surrounding the disjointed development of the Thames Gateway region. Using sound, and moving image to act as a portal to read and experience the landscape, this film explores the Gateway region at night. At night the edgelands come alive. The drab grey exteriors of warehouses become bathed in light, sodium, fluorescent and LEDs, in a shifting hue of yellows, reds, ochre’s, greens and blues. Arterial roads are given over to tankers and ‘artics’, ferrying goods and fuel from giant out of town distribution centres. Boy racers in souped up hatch backs tear apart the still air, bass carrying for miles, engines screaming for respite, wheels screeching for purchase on the damp asphalt. Nightclub patrons are ejected onto the street, bleary eyed and wrestling with gravity, Cigarettes are lit, drinks regurgitated, vivid colours splash. The world is being invaded by 'The Unknown', they have a gas that makes people fall into endless comas(unless they have the antidote, which only the Unknown have). But the humans still have one last hope, the immune. There are four people that are immune to the gas, and they must choose to fight or survive in the shadows. The film is based on one of the 'immune's' story. This video is a promo for that film idea to become a possibility using Indiegogo.
